The burger was delicious. It didn’t compare to my burger-making skills-but it was still delicious. It was so juicy, the egg and bourbon sauce excited my taste buds. I didn't realize I had burger juice dripping down my chin until Tyler slid his thumb down my face. It caught me off guard but I felt a small blush creep up my cheeks. When I looked up at him, his eyes were mesmerizing and captured me. I was almost in a daze looking at them until Nanami’s voice pulled me back to reality. “They’re beautiful aren’t they? Who knew baby blue eyes would go so well with his chestnut skin tone. How haven’t you ever noticed these eyes before, they have me swooning.” I chuckled and shook my head at her response, but instead of doing it on my head, it did it out loud. Now I have Tyler looking at me with curiosity. “My other half was complimenting you on your eyes. She asked me why I'd never noticed them before.” He simply hmped and smirked “Tell her, you’ve never really noticed me, yet alone really looked me in my eyes.” He was one hundred percent right about that. I didn’t really notice him except for when we were partners on a project. I didn’t want to be one of the high school fangirls. “I notice you now, better late than never, right?” I asked. He nodded his head in agreement and we continued to eat our lunch in silence. This day has been really fun and I’ve been enjoying every part of it. After we finished eating, he packed up all the trash and carried it out of the car to the nearby trash can.
“Are you ready for a short road trip? It’s only a forty-five minute drive.” Tyler asked me as he got back into his car. “It depends.. does this mini-road trip consist of good music, conversation and car karaoke?” He just smiled and nodded his head at me, just from the past two days I can tell he’s a real sweetheart. His mother had raised him well. As promised for our drive, I was provided everything I requested. Upon the ending of one of my solo songs, we pulled into a packed parking lot.The outside looked like we were going to an amusement park but I could see there was some of everything. We walked into a large building that was full of different arcade games. I looked around stunned, this place was literally everything in one. We walked up to the register and the cashier bowed his head and said alpha to Tyler. I glanced at Tyler to see if he caught on to what was said, but I take it he did because he was smiling at me. “This arcade joint is something my dad owns, it’s open for all, but on weekends only supernatural are allowed.” I just looked at him and nodded my head in understanding. “Now in regards to being called alpha, my dad is Alpha Mitchell of the Synk Pack.” My eyes just widened from his statement. My mom has been that pack’s party planner for many years. I even went with her many times and never ran into him there.
He grabbed our playing cards, slid his hand in mine and walked towards the games. I wanted to do EVERYTHING; laser tag, paintball shooting, go kart racing, rock climbing, VR and even machine games. I didn’t realize how competitive I was until I refused to be on any team of Tyler’s. I wanted to be his opponent and play against him. What’s the fun of us being on the same team?
Time went by faster than earlier and I didn’t realize it had gotten dark until we stepped outside of the building because I wanted to get on a few rides. We walked hand in hand talking away, lost in conversation, he brought me comfort and I enjoyed it. Standing in line for the last ride of the night for me, my stomach started to rumble. “Sounds like you need some food in your belly. I’m surprised you’re just now getting hungry given we’ve been moving around non stop since we got here. Thought you would’ve worked up an appetite by now.” I laughed at his response, given I was hungry way before now, I just didn’t want to stop the fun just yet.
We went back inside the building and, amongst the variety of restaurants within, I decided to go for a supreme pizza, adding pineapples to it with a cajun garlic crust. Tyler went to another line and ordered wings and bosco sticks after we got the pizza. Once all the food was gathered, we found a table and sat down to enjoy the food before ending our day of fun.

As I sat across from Ariah, I kept stealing glances of her and so many emotions came across me. She has always been the girl I’ve had my eye on from the very first day she walked into my homeroom class freshman year. It seems like we’re getting along pretty well as well. I’ve never connected with someone like this before, but then again, I’ve never tried to get close to anyone, especially a female that wasn’t family. There’s something about her that I can’t really pinpoint, the aura that slightly glows around her is different. I can sense something but not really, it’s like it’s being suppressed.
After finishing up our food, we headed out and were set on track to drop her off back at home. The day was a good day. I hope she enjoyed herself as well. But I think she did, given she had a huge smile on her face. And man did she have a beautiful smile. Watching her smile made my stomach dip. After a nice drive in comfortable silence, since she had fallen asleep fifteen minutes in the drive. I pulled up to Ariah’s house, put the car in park and turned it off. I glanced over at her and smirked, she was out of there. Her mouth was slightly open with a little bit of drool dripping. I leaned forward with the thought of kissing her, instead I wiped the drool with my thumb and I called her name with a nudge to get her to wake up. She gasped and looked up at me with a smile “I am so sorry, I fell asleep. I usually don’t fall asleep unless I’m comfortable.” I just smiled and shook my head. “It’s ok, you were a sleeping beauty.” I got out of the car and walked around to her side and opened the door. As I proceeded to walk her to the front door, it was like on instinct, the door opened and there stood her dad. He had a powerful aura to him. Then a woman who looked very familiar walked up behind him and whispered in his ear. When she walked from behind him, I realized who she was. “Mrs.Mi’A!? I knew Ariah looked like a familiar face, but I wouldn’t have guessed she was your daughter.” I looked back and forth between Ariah and her mom, they looked exactly alike besides the hair color and eyes. “Mr.Huxley.” I nodded my head.

I knew my baby girl was going on a ‘date’ but I didn’t expect it to be with a supernatural, let alone a young alpha. I specifically sent her to a school with no other supernatural beings. I guess I missed that one. I wonder how many more are within that school now. I was very careful. I thought about a prestigious private school. I did my homework and I know for a fact that all the supernaturals in the area have their own school on their land, even the members that were living outside mingling with the outside world went to their kind school. Now I have to move her school, but then again this is her last year and school is almost over. My thoughts and worries were consuming me until I heard my baby girl's voice in my head “Tune down the alpha witch aura Daddy.” Then Mi’A wrapped her arm around my waist while leaning into me and smiled up at me, I’m sure she sensed my worry. I am glad she didn’t pry into my mind and see for herself.
