Isaiah woke up with his head pounding and a little hazed, he sat up and had to compose himself before standing up sudden movement causes instant dizziness. As he was becoming more aware he heard a faint heartbeat. Blake started to stir in his mind, getting nervous “Our mate, check on our mate!” Isaiah had to reassure Blake that their mate was perfectly fine, he didn’t feel or sense her being in any danger. “If that isn’t our mate’s faint heart beat, who's dying then?” Isaiah stood up in a hurry scanning the room when Blake asked him that question, his eyes landing on two figures slumped over in the corner. He could hear Mi’A gulping as she fed on his mother slowly killing her, he knew he couldn’t let his mother die like that. In an instant Mi’A was slammed against something solid, when she turned to see what it was she looked up and looked into the most beautiful honey eyes looking down into her ruby red ones. “Mi’A! You can not kill my mother, not this way. Let your mother punish her for her wrong doings. I can’t let you be judge, jury and executioner. I can’t let you live with that guilt and pain, not again.” Isaiah whispered to her while consuming her into a hug. Mi’A took a deep breath inhaling her mate’s scent to tame her beast. When she pulled back and looked him in the eyes again tears started to fill her eye sockets and Isaiah looked into her beautiful grey eyes and wiped the fallen tears away with his thumb. “It’s going to be ok, everything is going to be ok. I won't let you go down that path, I’m here and will always be here for you.” After turning Izzy into Mi’A mother, she was stripped of her magic and placed in the dungeons with a sentence of life. The witches had stopped coming for Mi’A since their leader was no longer there, but the vampires kept attempting and everytime they failed. They even recruited a witch to block out Mi’A magic but the witch wasn’t powerful enough to tame her on her own. The vampires got tired of trying to get Mi’A in their grasp due to countless unsuccessful attempts they were thinking about calling quits, that was until the witch provided them with an idea. “Why not wait until she has the baby? It’ll be easier to capture a powerless child than it is a powerful adult.” The vampires agreed with the witch and decided to lay low until then, they thought better odds than none, not knowing the witch was plotting something of her own. Two months passed by and it was getting closer to Mi’A due date, everyone was excited for the upcoming birth of the little joy. No one knew the gender of the baby, the parents wanted to keep it a mystery until the arrival. During the last month of Mi’A pregnancy she wasn’t able to hold anything down and started getting cravings for blood. When Mi’A usually had a taste of blood it was animal blood that would quinced that hunger, but this small being growing inside of her craved nothing other than human blood. Isaiah did the best thing he could think of and kept a cooler stocked with blood for her. “I’m not supposed to be going into labor yet, I’m three weeks early. The baby isn’t fully developed yet.” Mi’A was yelling in a panic. The doctor reassured her that everything was ok and the baby was still healthy. Earlier that day Mi’A was having contractions that she assumed were braxton hicks until they started coming back to back and getting stronger every time. She called Isaiah at work and informed him that she was in labor. In a blink of an eye he was standing in front of her and started running around the house getting everything they would need for the hospital. Her labor was moving along very slowly and night had fallen, a few hours later MI’A water had finally broken. What no one had noticed was when they heard the sound of a soft cry and the doctor saying “it’s a girl.” The moon was at its highest, shining brighter than usual, not only that it was the thirteenth moon of the year, the blue moon. Everyone knows any species born on a blue moon was known to be a powerful being. Mi’A and Isaiah were in awe while looking at their beautiful baby girl. She had beautiful caramel skin, reddish brown hair and greyish blue eyes, she was a spitting image of Mi’A and her mother except for her hair she had Izzy’s hair color. Mi’A looked out of the window then looked at Isaiah and smiled “It’s a blue moon tonight, did you know?” Isaiah looked back at her smiling “That’s perfect, welcome to this crazy world our ours my beautiful blue moon child Ariah Blue Huxley. What do you think of the name my Love?” “It’s beautiful, a beautiful name for a beautiful person.” Mi’A replied with a smile. --- The happy family was released from the hospital after two days. They didn’t want any visitors while they were there so everyone had to wait until they were home. Mi’A wanted to have some alone time with her daughter and bond with her before letting everyone bombarge her. Just as Mi’A thought, when they arrived home her mother was sitting on the porch swinging, sipping on some tea. While Mi’A was in the hospital her mother came over and fixed up the baby’s room and baby proofed the entire house for them. She was a huge help, given that both her and Isaiah wanted to wait until the baby was born before doing anything major to the room. Amandla followed the couple into the house to finally meet her grandchild, just Ariah’s presence alone made Amandla's eyes go wide. “Do you two feel that? The power that is seeping within this child is very powerful. I didn’t feel anything until I got close to her. I foresee history repeating itself with her Mi’A, protection will be needed at all times. I pray to the moon goddess that she doesn’t fight against it when she gets older like you did. You know you gave me and your father so much trouble when you counter acted against my protection spell. We’re still trying to figure out how you did it.” Mi’A giggled and said “loopholes mom, there’s always a loophole with magic.” “You were always a target ever since you were born, she’s been a target since before she was born. May the moon goddess watch over her and your protection and mine is strong enough to keep her safe from others and herself. Amandla said while staring at her sleeping grandchild.
