“His name is Clint. He is willing to switch to our pack! He is in one of the highest packs, but he is a warrior and they agreed he would do better here!”
Hyde smiled and pretended to be happy for her. “Congrats Amber. We are so happy for you! Are you meeting with him?”
“They are all coming to the here to meet with the Pack. They said I’ll go back with them to help him pack and meet people, then back here to take over as Beta! This is exciting!”
Will turned to Hyde, “did they tell you anymore?”
“They want me to leave and visit the Harvest Moon Pack. They lead the military training. I’ll meet with the Beta there and they want us to travel to a few smaller packs together.”
Amber turned quick, “you are talking like you are going to do it.”
Hyde looked to her with pleading eyes. “I’m..Um..gonna see if I can find my mate. I think it’s time I stop thinking only of myself. If the Alphas think I have potential to travel with the pack that trains the military, I should probably listen and get on track.”
“When you come back, you will officially be Gamma. Are you ready for that?”
He nodded, “I’m coming to terms with it.”
Amber was jumping up and down, “this is exciting! You could meet your mate! Will that just leaves you!”
“Haha, I have a feeling my mate will be coming to me.”
Hyde smiles, “you are sounding like them. Soon you will be telling us all our deepest secrets.”
They laughed as they noticed the vehicles driving up. The aura when the two strongest Alphas stepped out made their heads drop. They all looked like werewolves from television shows. They looked classy and unique. Gold eyes donned the King while Alpha Axelia had blood red eyes. It set off her honey skin and black curly hair. The Kings skin was similar, but had blonde hair.
“King Maverick, Alpha Axelia and company. Will you be staying for the night?”
Alpha Walters walked out, “they decided not to. Seems they are a time limit to get Amber and Clint,correct, to his home and back. Hyde, I talked to Alpha Alarick and he said that he will have his Gamma and one of the strongest warriors come to travel back with you. They are the ones Carmen was with before she went Epsilon.”
He nodded, “I’ll go pack my travel bag now. My King, Queen it was nice to meet you. I imagine I will see you soon. Alpha Axelia and Delta Declan, I can’t wait to work with you. Clint it was nice to meet you. Take care of our Amber.”
They all nodded, “Gamma Hyde.”
He turned to Delta Declan, “you won’t understand this quiet yet, but be patient. He isn’t serious.”
“Umm okay. Thank you, I guess.”
Hyde walked to his room and began packing. He knew he would be gone for awhile, but with pack lands being around stores he could always buy clothes. He knew that the Harvest pack was colder in the mountains so he had to pack some heavier clothes. He fit the basics in two bags. A knock sounded at the door.
“Come in.”
“Well, it’s about time.” His dad laughed.
Hyde grinned, “you were too nice to let me pretend it wasn’t going to happen. Who knows I could come back with a mate.”
His dad sat on his bed, “how are you holding up with Amber finding her mate?”
“I think the distance will make me feel better. It’s not like it was fated..just a crush. I know that now. She has never looked that way at me.”
Another knock sounded, “almost ready my friend?”
Hyde smirked. “They here?”
“Just passed the border. Hyde when you get back…we will all be taking over the pack.”
Hyde nodded and looked back at Will. “Can’t wait. Hopefully I’ll bring back new training and information.”
“Call me, everyday and tell me how everything is going?”
They grabbed each other’s forearm in a warriors hand shake. Will was the closest thing to a sibling after his sister had been killed a few years ago. She was attacked by a rogue, who claimed her as his mate. His sister never confirmed it. He had gone Epsilon upon smelling her and his wolf took her by force. She would of been thirty. Only six years older. She would of been Gamma the year after the incident. His mother rarely goes out anymore. She can’t stand the idea of rogues being out there. His father killed the wolf, but wasn’t there in time.
“Let’s head..”
“Mate.” Will growled.
Hyde watched in shock as his best friend busted through his door. He quickly followed with his dad in tow. Alphas are possessive and they knew, Will wouldn’t forgive himself if he hurt his mate. They came out to find Will on the ground with a smiling female holding his arm in place.
“Calm down, my love.”
Will growled, “you’re strong.”
Hyde slowed his pace and approached the group. He wasn’t gonna lie to himself, it hurt his closest friends had found their mates so quick. He knew that it wasn’t their fault. The moon goddess worked in mysterious ways.
“Well I’m Theo. This lovely individual is Serenity.”
Will growled at Theo, “mine.”
“Whoa, boy, he’s mated to our amazing pack doctor. I think you need to take a walk with me. I have a feeling you aren’t in control with those lovely black eyes staring at me.”
Hyde stepped forward, “Will, do you need a guard?”
They looked in curiosity at the two other Gammas. “Do you often guard the Alpha?”
“Well it’s more for first meetings of mates. We had an issue with a possessive wolf that killed their mate.”
Serenity looked to Hyde, “I appreciate the concern. I may look small, but I’m the second strongest in the werewolf military behind the Gamma. Only fifth in my pack behind Alpha, Luna, Beta and Theo.”
“Heard, Luna. Call out if you need anything though. My father is pretty quick.”
Theo turned to Hyde as they walked away. “Well luckily Luna Dawn asked us to bring her stuff. That’s what you get, when you have the two strongest vampires allied to your pack.”
“Um she came along, because someone told her she would find her mate if she came here?”
“You will get used to it the higher up packs work a little differently than some of the others. We will be getting on a plane soon so you should grab your items so we can head out.”
