JUNE
9.All good:
"There is always good after the bad"
As soon as the prank guy went away who was tremendously feeling shy and diffident of what he had done, I flipped the pages of my school prospectus and went through my schedule once again. I had only three lectures today, which were more of a relief since I needed some time to adjust myself properly. I used my phone for a jiffy and then finally stopped myself from overuse since the battery was extremely low as usual. After I realized that I had arrived my destination point quite early, I made my way to my first class leisurely at a snail's pace. Before, I approached my psychology class, I walked through the corridors admiring the building but I couldn't stop myself from thinking about that guy who looked pretty familiar, like I somehow know him. Eventually, I joined my course group that consisted of a very small group of students, probably less than fifteen. In stages, I settled myself in the second desk of first row, avoiding the gazes and whispers of the entire class as they were beyond a shadow of a doubt thinking that which i***t decided to admit in the mid of the session, but lamentably they couldn't understand my sticky situation in which you feel like you are in a vicious circle where there is no-win situation.
The bell rang and an old woman with a balmy smile that increased the wrinkles across her entire face, entered with tiny footsteps into the lecture room supported by a wooden stick which though looked like wasn't so necessary but the slim over aged figure with delicate and fragile appearance gripped it firmly like her life depended on it.
Soon, she started teaching us regarding the fifth chapter. She instructed us to open our books for references and I efficiently took notes on the laptop opened in front of me. Every word that came out of her mouth was attention grabbing and worthy of note. She looked experienced through her way of explaining us different aspects of everything. From the beginning, I realized that her way dealing with every student was out of ordinary, exceptionally fascinating and remarkable. I continued taking notes when my hands typing on the keyboard suddenly ceased, trying to understand and focus on whatever she was elucidating.
"Ask any person who is successful in whatever he or she is doing that motivates him or her, and very likely the answer will be 'goals'" I swiftly noted down the word goals on my notepad and listened to her more attentively than ever.
"Goal setting is extremely important to motivation and success" I stared blankly at the heading of the chapter ... "motivation"
"So what motivates you?" I was shocked and looked at her in traumatized state like she had asked me this question but I was wrong since she continued with her questions and then gave the answers by herself.
"Why are you in college?" I again felt that she asking me something because her way of questing was pretty appealing and then she answered the question she inquired.
"If you are in college because that's what your parents want, you may find it difficult to motivate yourself" I asked myself the same question over and over again and then capriciously my eyes diverted from the old sweet woman towards my notepad which read 'goals'.
'If you graduate from college I will give you car' or worse 'If you don't graduate from college, I won't give you a car'" I continuously gaped and gawped at the word written on my notepad when I felt the inspiring woman standing beside by desk.
"But motivation that comes within really makes the difference" the bell rang and all left but I sat there completely stunned.
Few minutes later, I realized that I was sitting there all alone, just like not many weeks ago but this time the circumstances were completely different. Settled there, I revised today's lecture once and then ultimately decided to leave. My next class of chemistry was half an hour later so I made up my mind to walk around the other sectors as well but on a spur of a moment changed my plan as I saw the same teacher along with our institution principal. Their attention diverted towards me as they saw me in the empty hallway.
"Ah! June" the principal called me as he saw me approach them.
"Good morning sir!" I greeted him presentably and he nodded in response.
"Miss Sophie, this is our new exceptionally brilliant student" I came to know the name of my psychology teacher as Principal Mark introduced her.
"She attended my lecture few minutes earlier" she informed him.
"I am really sorry dear, actually I was tremendously busy in the morning and I should have introduced you as a new comer but don't worry I will take you to your next class" I nodded in response as he apologized.
"And if you have any issues regarding studies you can always inform me" she said with the same warm smile printed on her face.
"Sure" I left for my next class with principal beside me.
