His voice whispers through the mind link—rough, barely there, but it's the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
Relief crashes over me so hard I can't speak. Can't do anything but stare into his wolf's golden eyes as more tears spill down my cheeks.
"Don't talk," I finally manage through the link, my mental voice as wrecked as my physical one would be. "Save your strength."
His wolf's gaze finds mine, still clouded with pain and confusion.
