“What the hell is wrong with you?!” I roared in Anika’s face. She regarded me with a cruel smirk, walking closer to me.
“Nothing, Xander. I warned you. I don’t share what is mine. If anything, you’re the one who’s making this difficult for everyone involved. The sooner that girl is out of our lives, the faster you and I can move on with ours.” She said, looking me dead in the eyes.
“You and I have no life together. Why is that so difficult for you to understand? I’m not some puppet you can control, Anika!” I thundered and stormed out after Sam. My heart was pounding as I increased my pace to a jog, searching outside the restaurant for Sam. My eyes locked in on her waiting by the jeep, her arms wrapped around her protectively.
