Sinful Duty

Her Transmigration

Treacherous times had befallen the Havens and the Earth. The link that protected the two slowly lost its stability. To restore balance, a body from the Havens had to be transcended unto the earth possessing the body of a willing human. All the angels were gathered listening to their Superior; Catherine the overall leader of all the Angels.

She was a blonde woman, who looked like she was in her 60s. She possessed a soft tone when she spoke. She had already recovered a willing human body by the name of Kate, ready to be possessed. What was left was to choose a representative. She had to be precise and crafty during her decision-making.

Requirements were that she chooses an Angel who was on level 7 which is; almost eligible to become a guardian angel. But she felt something strong coming from this particular angel who was an amateur. She felt potential in this young Angel. After hours of pondering, she finally made her decision,

"I call on Angel Jordan." Superior Catherine demanded. Jordan was agape, she couldn't believe she heard her name, still, she flew out of the crowds to stand next to the superior. She knelt before the superior with reverence and greeted her. The hosts of Angel were all shocked and appalled by the name the Superior mentioned. They were not in agreement with the choice of their Superior; as Jordan was a level 3 angel, who did not even possess a halo.

"Enough!" The superior demanded. "When everybody is speaking no one is speaking." She then turned to the seven Arkangels. "Angel Micheal, your complain?" She asked.

"Superior Catherine, we cannot place the fate of our lives in the hands of a level 3." Angel Micheal said.

"Angel Raphael, your complain?" The Superior asked.

"Superior, what we need is to restore balance, Haden is a very dangerous creature, and you choose to send forth a level 3?" Angel Raphael stressed.

"If the remaining five of you Archangels and the rest of you have the same complaints as Angel Micheal and Raphael please indicate by raising your wings." The superior asked kindly. The majority of the angels rose their wings. The superior then took a long pause, looked around and said, "I have made up my mind, my choice..." They all waited eagerly to hear her final verdict,

"My choice remains the same." The superior said. She knew fully well that everyone would not like her final decision so she immediately hit her staff on the floor three times, indicating Light, Piety and Peace. They all respected her decision regardless and returned to their various positions.

...

"I can't believe it Jordan, you're going to Earth," Angel Laura said excitedly.

"It's nothing to be excited about Laura, majority of the angels weren't in support of me representing them. What if I'm not able to restore the balance." Jordan said wearing a disappointing look.

"Jordan, the Superior's never wrong! She made that decision because she believes in you. I believe in you, it's high time you believed in yourself too." Laura said trying to cheer her friend up. Angel Fiona came in to notify Jordan that she was being sought, by Angel Meridith.

Shortly Jordan went to meet her,

"Congratulations, Jordan." Angel Meridith said with a cheerful smile. Angel Meridith was a VIRTUE ANGEL. She receives orders from the DOMINIONS. She was told to put Jordan through. "Before your sent forth, there are few things you need to know about Earth and the new body you would be taking over." She added. Jordan listened to what Meridith said attentively.

"Earth is nothing like the heavens, talk more of its inhabitants. It's a whole new world. It's beautiful, vast, it's many other outrageous adjectives. It's also dangerous, even more, dangerous now that Haden's down there." Fear occupied Jordan's eyes. She was terrified.

"Now, the new body you're possessing is by name of Kate Del Rey. We consulted the PRINCIPALITY ANGELS and they gave us her earth file. She works as a receptionist at Pacific Terrace hotels in some place called San Diego, her ex-boyfriend is a drug addict, and they both share a child, her name is Adelaide. These are the basic information you need to know concerning Kate's life, the rest you'll find inside this file."

"One question, so Haden's in San Diego?" Jordan asked. "The Principal Angels said so, but they haven't found out whose body he possessed." Then she hands the files to Jordan telling her to study every part of the file so that when she eventually descends to earth, no one would notice a thing. Jordan was about to leave when Meridith called her name, "one last thing, be careful and good luck."

Throughout the night, Jordan kept awake, she studied every detail on Kate's file, she couldn't sleep, she kept on thinking about the great responsibility that faced her, she was going to Earth! The only people allowed to go to earth were the Guardian Angels but only on special occasions. Tomorrow was her big day, it was her descension and transmigration day. She finally decided to follow Laura's advice and believe in herself, and she slept off.

The day of Jordan's descension and transmigration came. All the Angels gathered to witness such a great occasion. Jordan was dressed in the finest materials. Her hair was curled up, she looked like a guardian angel. Some angels cheered for her as she was presented by the Superior.

"The day of Jordan's descension and transmigration is here, let us rejoice and be glad." The superior acclaimed. "The Havens and the earth shall return to their normalcy, let us recite the creed." She added. They all recited the creed,

I believe in the Havens, and it's a great power, I believe in the Havens who trusted and gave their powers to the Superior, I believe in the Superior, and we forever promise to guard and protect the link between the Havens and the earth, no matter the circumstances. When they were done reciting the creed the superior said,

"The time has come, do us proud." She then turned around and gave a nod of affirmation to Angel Micheal, who ordered the Seraphim to sing songs of praises as Jordan was elevated. "With the power vested in me, descend unto the Earth and restore its stability." The Superior chanted. Soon Jordan's transmigration was completed. Her angelic body was placed in a beautiful abode where she laid, unconscious.

EARTH

In the hospital bed, there laid Kate. She lay there unconscious. Soon the patient's monitor alarm started going off, some nurses quickly arrived at her ward. The monitor's screen displayed a reading that did not correspond with the clinical picture, soon it started fluctuating numerical value and waveform, and then it stopped showing readings.

The nurses were shocked, they couldn't believe their eyes. One of them quickly called the doctor, he came in and they showed him what was happening to the monitor, he was confused but he finalized that the monitor was behaving like that because the sensors were not receiving any information. So he decided to use the defibrillator.

"Clear," The doctor said as he rubbed the defibrillator together and used it on her. He repeated this three times until she jerked back to life. Jordan was awake in Kate's body, she had been unconscious for two months. A day in Haven is like a month on earth. The doctor and Nurses cheered for Kate. They were happy that after two months she had finally come back to life.

...

UNDERWORLD.

It had been three days in the underworld since Haden left for the earth. But on earth, it had been three months since he left. The demons all gathered together. They grew more impatient day by day. So they all gathered to complain about it to Lucifer. He sat on his throne listening to their complaints.

"Master-" a demon said as he bowed before him. "We are tired of being stuck here, you promised us freedom." He said. Another demon came complaining, "Master, you sent your son to destroy the link between the earth and the Havens, so that we may be free of this place, we haven't heard from him since." Others continued to murmur amongst themselves saying, could it be that the master's son is dead? Lucifer on hearing this was filled with rage.

"Nonsense!!" He yelled. "My son Haden knows the plan very well, the link is slowly losing its stability, but it hasn't been destroyed yet!" All the demons were loquacious at this point. One decided to ask why he hasn't destroyed it.

"Impatient imbeciles!! You can't rush the process!"Lucifer yelled.

"Master forgive me, but when would this happen?" Another demon asked, trembling with fear.

"Oh... It has already happened, I received word that the Superior sent an Angel, a level 3 angel- Lucifer emphasized on level 3- to restore the balance." As Lucifer said this all the demons laughed including him. Then he stopped laughing and said,

"Haden would set us free from this place. All hail Haden!" Lucifer exclaimed. All the demons began to chant All Hail Haden!
