The Farewell

Amara POV I awake as the sun starts casting its glow across my room. I stay still for a while, just lying in bed, staring at the window as clouds float by. I can't believe this is the last time I'll be in this bed. The last time I will stare out this window, or look at the roof above me. I rise slowly, throwing my legs over the side of the bed and resting my arms on my knees. I let out a deep sigh as my gaze rakes over the room and land on the closet. All the pretty dresses on their hangers, the training gear folded nicely on a shelf, the shoes on the floor. I notice the clothes I wore here are laid out on the table I sit at for breakfast and sigh once again, standing up and making my way over.
