Episode 7 - What is my job

        I woke up with sound of birds. I open my eyes looked out through balcony window, it was so nice view, I can sun light coming through tress and entire area was surrounded by different type of trees. This is like a dream for me. Even though I love this moment still I am aware that this is not for me. Actually I cannot afford for this life. Maximum I will have 02 years with this contract. I am worried whether I could survive for 01 year at least with Master Hansans’ attitude. Suddenly my mind was filled with his shameless behaviour which happened in office yesterday. All my pleasant feeling ran away from me. And no more I felt morning is nice. I got up from bed and went washroom to complete my daily routine. I had bath and tried to send away all bad thoughts with running water.

              After I had warm water bath, I felt much relax but since today Saturday, I was not sure whether I am going for work or not. What should I wear? All these thoughts made me stress again. “Tania, face one by one. Don’t stress. Every problem has solution” I said myself to motivate me. I used to talk to myself when I face issues or demotivate. It’s always help me to calm myself. I chose to wear cotton dress which more in to casual type but it is smart casual so it’s good for Saturday work. I patted my face with slight make up. Then I checked the time and it is still 7.30 am but I thought to go out and find Olga. May be I can help her to make breakfast table. I went of room and try to find the kitchen. There were so many doors and areas, I couldn’t figure out once where to go. I blame myself for not paying attention for the route yesterday when Olga escort me for the dinner. Suddenly I bumped in to 2nd person which I met in the interview. When he saw me, he stopped walking suddenly and spent few minutes looking at me without saying any words. I didn’t know what to say but I took courage to greet him.

“Good morning Sir..”

“Hey Tania.. Sorry Ms. Vandessay.. Good morning… I am Michael Hanson and cousin of Kevin…” He introduced him.

“Nice to meet you Sir..” I replied him softly.

“You can call me Michael. And Can I call you Tania? I think we have to come out from formal relationship as you’re more than worker for our family and this is home” Michael went on saying and his smile never went off.

“Yes, Mr. Michael, You can call me as “Tania” I replied. I felt happy to talk to him.

“Not Mr. Just Michael…” He replied and laugh. I also joined with him with a smile.

“It is good I met you Tania. Anyway I want to talk to you about your job responsibility but we will do after breakfast. Come, will go to dining room now. Kevin will be there by 8 am.” Michael said looking at his wrist watch and escort me to dining room.

I felt happy with his attitude and I followed him. He pulled chair for me and sat other side of table but just in front me. Olga has already set the table and so there is nothing more to do. In this house everything is perfect and punctual. Michael start to talk about my university life while we were waiting for Master Hansan. I was happy with his attitude and his conversations.

“Good morning..” Suddenly, I heard deep voice and my mouth got shut in a moment. As usual I murmured good morning and I don’t know whether he heard me or not.

“Good morning K. I was talking to Tania until you come. I am hungry now…” Michael return his greetings with very pleasant mood.

“ Hahaha.. you are always in hunger Mike…” Master Hansan patted Michaels’ shoulder and sat on same place he sat yesterday. Then we all start to eat and there were only few sentence passed between Master Hansan and Michael. But I can see both of them were very happy and comfortable with each other’s company.

After we finish breakfast, Michael invite me to office room and I followed him. I was bit nervous as I am already scared with this job function. I pray to God in my heart asking to make this job easy for me.

End of the corridor, Michael open right side door and entered. I followed him. It was such a nice office room. There were lot of book shelfs with full of books. It drives me crazy. I really love to read books and it is one & only hobby of mine.

Before I lost in my thoughts, Michael signed me to sit and he start his speech in serious mood.

“So Tania, I would like to explain you what is your job function and what you have to do in this 2 years… Basically your job is PA to Kevin but he will show in front grandma that he is interest on you. So that’s the one reason you have to live in this house. Our grandma is 86 years old and she is very worried about Kevin as he never had girlfriend. Kevin always with male friends so grandma is upset thinking that Kevin doesn’t have interest on girls. We don’t want make grandma unhappy at this stage. She wants Kevin to get marry but he is not ready to do now. We have planned this scenario since we want to take grandma out of thinking that Kevin interest on males. So when you live here grandma thinks that Kevin has interest on girls as well. Because so far except Olga, there were no female live in this house…” Michael suddenly stopped and looked at me straight.

I was shocked and I didn’t know what to say. This is more than PA job.

“Are you with me Tania”… Michael asked.

Yes, Mr Michael..” I took deep breath and answered him.

“ So basically you have to work as PA and live in this house. Even though we sign contract for 2 years still we might cancel early depending on progress of this situation. You have to careful whenever you talk to grandma and we don’t want her to get hurt and we need to keep her happy at any cost. She is heart patient so there is no forgiving for any mistakes “… Michael very serious and strict on last sentence. I just realised Michael also similar like Master Hansan. They are strict people.

“Yes Mr. Michael.. I will make sure to do my best”.. I gave him my assurance.
