I smile up at Mr. Arthur, "thank you for bringing me home, Mr. Arthur. I shall see you tomorrow morning again." I tell him giving him my brightest face, hoping that it would make him smile too.
But he only makes a gruff noise in the back of his throat as usual just as the elevator doors open and I clutch my backpack tighter as I wave awkwardly before stepping in the foyer of my home.
I look up and find Ms. Avery standing there.
"Oh, my little princess, you're back from school!" She coos, "how was your day?" She asks as she takes the bag off of my shoulders before I losen the stupid tie that I have to wear every day with this navy blue and white uniform.
"It was boring, Ms. Avery. I already knew the answers to all their questions." I mumble
