I was sitting in my living room bored out of my mind. My day had been ruined by that Lumina as I did intend on spending some time with her mate, but due to the situation, I was back home, nursing a glass of wine and admiring the professional bandaging on my burned hand, when my phone rang pulling me out of my thoughts.
I immediately reached for it, thinking that it is Xenois who was calling to check up on me as usual. But the caller ID made me pause – it was Silvia Blackwood instead.
Xenois's mother hadn't spoken to me since I'd left Silver Creek all those years ago, and I certainly hadn't expected to hear from her now.
