Across the room, another figure had appeared - Zade, rushing to check on Lyn's condition. The Alpha's face was grim as he assessed the healer's injuries, his hands already glowing with basic first aid magic.
Lake had managed to push the dead nightwalker off himself and was climbing to his feet, blood streaming from the claw marks across his chest. When he saw Xenois holding me, his face twisted with fury.
"Get away from him!" Lake snarled, moving toward us with murderous intent.
