Chapter 131: Twins Reunion

I was in so much pain that I couldn't think straight, couldn't understand where I was or what was happening to me. Everything hurt - my head, my chest, my arms and legs - like someone had taken me apart and put me back together wrong. The darkness around me was complete, thick and heavy like being wrapped in a blanket that was too tight, and I couldn't see anything no matter how hard I tried to open my eyes.
I couldn't find Mama anywhere, and that scared me more than the pain did. Mama was always there when I needed her, always ready with hugs and kisses and soft words that made everything better. But now I was alone in this strange dark place, and every time I tried to call for her, my voice came out weak and shaky.
