The crowd was buzzing with anticipation, their eagerness overwhelming me a bit as I forced myself to remain focused on the trial.
I scanned the room, looking for any sign of Lynn or Lumina and near the front of the room, I spotted Lynn and Lumina being escorted to their seats by guards. Instead of chains or restraints, they were simply flanked by pack warriors - it was a small mercy I'd been able to negotiate with the elders, earlier today.
