The strange call from Sophia's phone kept replaying in my mind as I walked through my parents' penthouse in a daze as I tried to make sense of what had happened. This wasn't the same Bullet guy that my mum said had been calling the phone.
Someone else had dialed the number, let it ring several times, then hung up the moment they heard my voice. It felt deliberate, like whoever was calling knew they shouldn't be reaching me instead of Sophia.
