The moment I saw Ollie through the chaos of emergency vehicles and tactical teams, something inside my chest loosened for the first time since we'd received word of the hospital attack. He looked so small standing there beside Officer Martinez, clutching that walkie-talkie like a lifeline, his clothes torn and dirty, his face streaked with tears and what looked like dried blood.
