Two weeks. It had been two weeks since I'd last heard from Sophia, and I hated to admit it but the silence was eating at me with worry and dread. Yes we had a falling out when I basically told her that I wasn't going to help her out with her delusions about a fairytale that she had been having but my half-sister had never gone this long without contacting me, especially not when she was in the middle of executing one of her elaborate schemes to win back Xenois Blackwood's affections.
The last conversation we'd had replayed endlessly in my mind as I paced around my small apartment unable to remain calm, wearing a path in the already threadbare carpet. Sophia had been so confident, so certain that her plan would finally work.
