Wandering aimlessly with nothing better to do and also unable to return home, peradventure, Josh had wanted to go back with his companion risking finding out she no longer had a job and thereby taking precautions in his actions. She just walked from street to street noticing some signs and buildings for the first time in all her time in the town.
