The light burned my eyes as I forced them open. They were extremely heavy, as my body remembered last night. Ugh. Going to my parent’s place was probably not a good idea. Interdimensional travel sucks! No matter what you do, your body can never keep up.
I yawned, not wanting to get up just yet. I was so comfortable. However, I tried to rub my eyes and I felt the restraint almost immediately. I was strapped down to the bed. “Are you going to tell me where you were last night?” Faron asked and I froze. Sh*t, he knows.
“I…umm…why am I –” I stuttered.
I tried to ask, but he interrupted me. “Answer the question, love.”
