I sat up, surprise flicked past her eyes, her lips curled slightly, “Alright, you’ve got me princess” she smiled.
“So what do you want to do now?”
“fight, obviously"
“Well, I'm not opposing you princess, while it's quite brave, it's still a fool's journey,” she shrugged.
Knock.
The door swings open and a figure walks in, wearing a long overall gown, “Miss Mika, princess” she greeted
My eyes went from her to Mika, I looked at Mika questioningly,
“I cant keep baby sitting you princess,” Mika said, “this is Cassy, an omega, she’ll take care of all your needs, and help you with anything you need for the time being, have fun” with that she turned and left without giving the time to respond.
“hi,” I greeted awkwardly, I could see the puzzle in her eyes, her pupils widened the more she looked at me, like I was something she had to figure out,
“okay, you’re starting to creep me out” I mumbled
She smiled sheepishly, “sorry about that princess, I didn't mean to be rude” she bowed, panic flashing in her pupils
“Just Aria is fine”
“I can’t" she gasped.
“I insist”
She nodded her gaze lowering shyly, “you’re pretty, just” she stopped, looking unsure about whether to continue
I felt heat rush to my cheeks but I remained curious to hear the second part of her words, “just?”
Her voice lowered, “Challenging Stanley”
“You also think I'm stupid and reckless?” I asked with a sad sigh
“oh no.” she shook her head, waving her hands anxiously, "I think that it was extremely bold of you, I would have never been able to” she gave a thumbs up, “Just that fighting Stanley may not really be the best course of action” she added.
“Tell me about it,” I groaned slumping back into the bed, “that’s all i’ve heard ever since”
“you can’t blame them prin—Aria” she walked closer, “this is Stanley, and you’re talking about a duel”
I propped myself up, “Come, sit, tell me about Stanley”
“on your bed?”
“yeah” I nodded, “is there a problem?
”No” she blushed, “you’re nice”
I blushed, “thanks, have a seat” i gestured
She sat then faced me, “Stanley as you know is second only to vice president Jax and miss Mika, but aside that, before they accepted people into the club, I heard that the alpha saved them from under a pile of corpses"
My breath hitched, "literally or metaphorically"
She gave me a look, “what do you think?”
“shit.”
“exactly, and that's not even the end of it, they had to fight their way through to their enemies, till they found a way to settle down here, they built everything from scratch against all odds, I don't know the full story but not even three warriors together can defeat Stanley, he’s battle hardened and strong too”
Her words send chills crawling down my back, I feel the hairs on my arm stand, I swallowed nothing, “that strong” to think just six of them built this pack from scratch, no wonder Cain is an alpha to rogues and Stanley comes third after Jax and Mika
She shrugged, “that's normal, you should strip, i’ll help you shower, so you can relax more” she changed the topic
My eyes widened, "strip?"
“oh, sorry, that must have come out wrong, you need to get some rest, I’m in charge of your daily needs and it includes helping you shower”
“i’ll handle my shower, maybe just run the bath” warmth pooled at my cheeks,
She watched me, surprised “okay, you still need to strip, I need to take the dirty clothes”
Is this club filled with perverts or just shameless people? What the hell, “NO” i pulled the sheets up to my chest
She looked startled by my sudden outburst “okay, i’ll run your bath now” she shot to her feet as if struck by lightning
“No, sorry for the outburst, I'm just, i’m just…” the words remained stuck in my mouth, she waited patiently
I inhaled and finally let out, “i’m not comfortable being naked in front of others” I mumbled with my head lowered.
I waited for her response but got none, she's angry? Not that I can blame her? What's going on, I looked up and nearly let out a yelp,
“s**t, you scared me” i couldn't understand what was going on with her, her pupils were wide, she stared at me like some sort of edible snack,
“is there something on my face?” I asked
“no. Just that you're so adorable that i just might gobble you up” she gushed, “so innocent, its cute” she said with a chuckle
She headed to a door connected to the room, “i’ll run your bath princess, you can take a towel from the wardrobe and wrap yourself in it”
I nodded, both grateful and speechless. I felt a tinge of happiness well in me, I may have just made my first friend,
“Aria” she called from inside the bathroom
“yeah?” i replied, opening the wardrobe then gasped in surprise, you gotta be kidding me, this is a freaking walk in closet, clothes were neatly lined inside it, it was much bigger from the inside than how it looked on the outside, as far as my eye could see there were mostly pants and tiny things that could barely qualify as a skirt, I grabbed the white towel hanging and stepped out.
Cassy was already out, “that was fast”
“yeah” she nodded, “you should rest after you're done, i'll be back tomorrow” she turned to leave, her hands paused on the door knob
“Aria,” she called hesitantly,
“yeah”
“this is who we are, if you want to belong, you want the respect you're not in the wrong track of earning it, the savageness, brutality, what you may see as cruelness, but it's what we are, what we've been shaped to be by those beyond the wall, I hope you find what you seek” her lips pressed thinly, then she walked out’
“okay, that came out of nowhere”
I sighed, entering the bathroom, I found myself soaking in the tub, the temperature turned out to be just right
“I could get used to this,”
I sighed, going over all that has happened in the past few days
After what felt like some an hour in the tub I moved to step out but just then the door burst open
