Used and Ready for New

Liam’s POV:

Me and my team are working in Gulfport Mississippi until we can get the block laid for the new court house they have just decided to build. My buddy Tanner roses down with me on occasion and we made it down here by 7 this morning. That gave us enough time to get our hotel rooms booked and breakfast in us before we start the work day.

I’ve been down here in the scorching heat laying block down for this huge project we are working on. I had felt my phone vibrate a couple times in my pocket but haven’t had a chance until now to look and surprisingly it is Izzy.

Baby mama: Hey I know you are busy but I just wanted to check in to see if you made it safe.

Me: yeah we made it.

She always checks in on me to see where it at and what I’m doing. She gets upset saying she doesn’t understand why I can’t just let her know when half the time I’m to damn busy for her nonsense. Me and Isabella have been together almost 7 years we already called off our engagement a couple months before she found out she was pregnant. That was some hard news for me. I always wanted kids and a big family but my biological mom made me have lots of insecurities. Izzy knew I had cheated on her a couple times the first time she found out she was heart broken little did I know it was an old friend from high school. The girl messaged Izzy to let her know what was going on. The last time was someone I had been talking to a lot about how I wanted a family and how I didn’t think Izzy loved me enough to give me at least one child. This girl had told me some things about her being a single mom and how she’d welcome me around her kids with no issues. Somehow Izzy saw these messages and called everything off she was done with me and I didn’t blame her. The day it came for Izzy to move out I was a complete wreck but being who I am I was doing everything I could to help her. She came out of the bathroom telling me how she had been extremely sick the past several days and decided she needed to take a pregnancy test. Well turns out we were having a baby, but I couldn’t remember the last time we were together sexually. Deep down I knew she wouldn’t cheat and I knew it was my baby but I shut down and denied it. I helped her get her few belongings she wanted back to her parent’s house. It took awhile for me to get the. Courage to talk to her again and we both decided to put the past behind us and that we loved each other and we could get through this and be a family with our little baby. My phone buzzed in my pocket bringing me out of my thoughts.

Baby mama: okay good I’m glad you had a safe trip. I just want you to know me and O miss you. I know you’ve been very distant these past couple of months but whatever is going on we can talk about it.

I should’ve known she noticed that I’ve been dodging going home. It’s been a hard couple of months I’ve fallen into depression again and I’ve done my best to keep myself away. Everything has been upsetting me and causing me to loose my temper almost to the extreme.

Me: miss you guys too tell Ollie I love him.

I try not to worry her or she will overthink. I guess I need to go home this weekend and see my family instead of staying with Tanner.

It was a long hard week but we have almost finished the outer walls of the building. That means this job is almost done we get to do the main foundation and roof then the job gets put off to another team. Tanner is driving my truck heading back home. I decided we needed to stop for a couple drinks before I head home as it’s still early and I know Isabella will want to talk first thing. “ Dude don’t you think it’s best to go talk to her clear headed I know you and I know once we walk in here you won’t stop slowing down until the place closes or you get cut off that’s how it always goes.” Tanner is my best friend and I know what he is saying and I know it’s true but I don’t want anyone trying to control me like that. “Sorry tan but we worked hard this week we deserve to have fun.” I do my best to not be a D**k to him as he was trying to be a good friend.

The bartender lets out last call but I was cut off early tonight. The bar has been packed tonight and I’ve been sitting here talking to this short little blonde who has a nice a**. Tanner left me a long time ago he took my truck which was fine if I’m lucky I’ll get this chick to drop me off at my house. I walk out to her little Toyota Camry and we sit inside making out before I tell her I’d rather her just take me on home.
