Chapter 6: Make One
The first thing that Simon noticed was how light and sunny it was outside. An unreal contrast to the realm he had just visited in his mind. There was a chill in the air that made him rub his hands together as he walked towards his car.
“Where are we going?” Ralph’s voice came up behind him. So did the soft sound of huge paws on tarmac. Niamh and Oisin were walking alongside them, probably hoping to go for a walk now.
Simon opened the car doors and the beasts jumped in. Then he opened the passenger door for Ralph.
“I’m not entirely sure,” he confessed. “I know where to go, but I’m uncertain as to what we may find there.”
Ralph buckled up. “Well, count me in then. A mystery outing. Should be fun.”
