CHAPTER THREE

Onyx rushed to the bar where she worked. It was several minutes past seven. She had overstayed at Cyrielle's house. She was sure her salary would be deducted, not like she was always paid in full anyways.
"And why are you so late?"Her boss, Mrs Maria asked.
She was as fat as a pig, and very ugly with a huge fat mole on her forehead.
"Personal matters"Onyx replied.
"That's why you're personally gonna be paid only thirty percent of your salary"Mrs Maria said.
"You can't do this to me,I need the money, you can't possibly do this"
"But I just did. Now get your pitiful looking self inside or you get no pay at all"
With a frown, Onyx went inside to start serving the customers. She's planning on resigning from the job. It's taking a huge toil on her. The stress is so much on her, and at the end of the month, she doesn't even see the result of all her hard work. The money either goes for Tanya's fees or appearance,or for her mum's check-up and medicines.
Sighing,she took out a lollipop from her bag and put it in her mouth, savouring the taste of the lollipop in her mouth, wishing her life was as sweet as the lollipop.

The whole family was down for dinner. Mr Wills just came back from his long travel.
"Madden, just why did you get her fired?"He asked.
"You know why dad"Tanya said. "Just cus the poor girl confessed her love to him"
"Madden, you know that's the 24th maid you're firing, right?"Mrs Wills asked.
"And so what? If they can't keep to my f**king rules,then they should stop coming "Madden replied coldly.
"Just keep him in the hospital till he gets his brain back,cus as we can see, the accident took a huge toil on his brain too"Hardin said hatefully.
"Hardin!"Everyone but Madden shouted.
"Whoever listens to this t**t is foolish. The words of a madman never makes sense "Madden said.
He took his phone and called his PA who picked up immediately.
"Lucian, get a notice out for a new maid, adhering to all my rules. Also double the pay"He said and ended the call.
He used a button to wheel himself to his room, using an elevator, and not the stairs.
