CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Onyx woke up some hours later. She yawned and soon the memories of earlier on flashed into her mind.

"Seriously, I and Madden...still can't believe that arrogant fool could be sweet at times, doesn't change the fact that he's a jerk though" She said.

She realized she was in her room, but the smell of mint filled her nose. She was wearing HIS shirt.

"Okay, now he's acting too nice, and I know he'll ask for a favour in return. A jerk's always a jerk"

Then something struck her. Her medicines, she had sent Cyrielle to buy since...she glanced at the wall clock. Since four hours ago?

"Oh goodness. How did I forget?" She mumbled.

She sat up abruptly and stretched to get her phone, no more on the bed where she threw it, but on the bedside table.

"Oh my f*****g gawd" She exclaimed.

Sixteen missed calls and seventeen messages. She quickly dialled her number. Cyrielle picked up after a few rings.

"I'm so sorry boo, I slept off" Onyx said.

"Seriously? Waiting for you for over an hour and all you can say is that you slept off? You told me to get you medicines and then you f*****g slept off? Are you for real?"

"I'm sorry Cyry, I..."

"Not ready for more excuses, come get your medicines now"

"Oh I love you so much Cyry. I love you, I love you, I love you, muah " Onyx gushed, rushing downstairs.

She got outside and went to the fruit stall. She saw Cyrielle and rushed to engulf her in a bear hug.

"Enough " Cyrielle said, breaking free from the hug.

"Hun, did you really wait here for hours for me?" Onyx asked.

"No, I went home and took a cab not long ago"

"So sorry, I won't repeat this again, I swear"

"Alright. Here are your medicines "

"Thanks "

"I have to go now "

"Oh, hope you visit some time "

"Of course I will, that's when I'm ready to see Madden "

They both laughed as they bid each other goodbye.

Days passed, turning into a week. It was around 9 pm and Onyx was ready to go home. She was walking around the garden, waiting for Lucian to drop her off.

Thanks to the lights around the house, she could see clearly cus there was no moon that night. She went to the section of white roses, plucking out one and inhaling its scent.

"Smells like... heaven. Is it cus of my love for white roses that the jerk calls me flower?" She asked no one in particular.

"Heyyy" Hardin called from behind her and she almost tripped, scared. She turned to him.

"Are you bent on scaring me each time?"

"Oops, sorry. It's been a week since we spoke"

"Yh...umm...I was quite busy "

"Well...I guess you're obsessed with white roses "

"Yh, I just can't stop loving them"

"They're as pretty as you "

"Awwwn, thanks "

Silence ensued between them. Soon, Hardin leaned in, their faces so close to each other.

'My first kiss from my crush. Yay!' Onyx screamed in her head.

She closed her eyes waiting for the magical moment when she felt a light kiss on her cheek. She opened her eyes, disappointed.

"I'll do it some other time. Good night " He said, winking at her and walking away.

She touched her cheek, the spot his lips touched. She blushed so hard.

"...You should have thought about the consequences before going out with that bastard" Madden's words rang in her ears.

What if she had seen them together? She gulped, hurrying out of the mansion and getting a cab, not waiting for Lucian anymore.
