Isabella and I were having lunch with Lilly and Alpha Declan when I got a call from Erik.
He sounded almost panicked on the phone. It threw me off. Erik is such a calm, collect guy. Something must have happened.
He proceeded to tell me that patrol had caught a rogue she-wolf trespassing on our territory. What made my jaw drop, though, was when he told me that she was his mate. He sounded truly conflicted.
I asked him what he did with her. I could hear the pain in his voice when he replied that he had locked her up in the dungeon. Good, I thought to myself. I need to interrogate her before I let her have access to my territory.
