Aria had never felt more powerless. Sitting beside Luca's hospital bed in the secret safehouse,the beep of the machines grounding her in a nightmare she couldn't escape. She had fallen in love with a man born into a world of bullets and betrayal-and now,that world was bleeding into here. Dante Moretti stood outsider the rom,arms crossed,rage simmering beneath the surface. The moment Aria stepped out,he was on her. "Are you out of your mind?" He hissed. She didn't back down. "He almost died trying to stop a war." "He is a war." Dante shoot back. "Luca Romano is the heir to one of Italy's deadliest families. And you're what now?" His savior? His lover?" "I'm someone believes people can change." Dante laughed bitterly. "This isn't fairytale,Aria. This is Rome. And that boy will drag you down with him." "I'd rather fall for something real than live in your fantasy of justice," she snapped. They stood,locked in a cold war of ideologies,father and daughter torn apart by the very thing that had bonded them once the truth. Meanwhile,Enzo walked into the Romano estate with shoulders heavy. He knew what needed to be done but doing it would mean turning on blood. In the great hall,under the shadow of the Romano crest,the inner circle gathered. "Luca is alive," Enzo announced. "But he was set up." Gasps,murmurs. "By who?" the consigliere asked. Enzo let the silence stretch. "I don't know yet. But I will find out." At the university,Aria tried to return to normal lif. But normal didn't exist anymore. She walked through corridors with eyes over her shoulder. She studies lectured she couldn't focus on. She tried to talk to Gianna but even friendship felt fragile now. Until she got a text Unknown Number : Meet me at Cafe Verdi. Come alone. Trust no one. Aria hesitated. Then she texted Enzo. Aria: Got a lead. I'II updated you after. She slipped the buried phone into her pocket and left. Cafe Verdi sat at on the edge of Trastevere,quiet and old. Inside,a man in his fifties with sunken eyes and scar across his temple eat waiting. "Aria Moretti," he said ,as she slip into the seat across from him. "Who are you?" "I was once like Luca. Until they used me and tossed me aside," She studies him. "Why contact me?" He placed a small drive on the table. "Because Luca tried to change things. And someone from your father's task force is helping the Feretti's." Aria froze. "That imposible." He smiles grimly. "Check the files. Follow the payments. Your father's noble missions? It's compromise. She took the drive and left her world cracking open once again. Back at the cafehouse,Luca was on his feet,though weak. Enzo stool at the window. "Aria's walked into something. Alone. That night,in her dorm,Aria plugged in the drive. Encrypted files. She bypassed them with skills boned from years of journalistic digging. And what she found chilled her blood. Emails. Bank transfers. Photos. Detective Marco Ronaldi. Her father's second in command. Received money from the Feretti's. Tipping them off about raids. Feeding them intel. Her hands trembled. Then someone knocked on her door. She peeked through the peephole. Luca. She opened the door and fell into his arms. "I though you were resting." "I was. But I couldn't stay away. You were right." She led him inside showed him the files. He scanned them with growing fury. "Your father need to know," he said. "He won't believed it." "Then we make him believed it." The next morning, Dante Moretti received an anonymous package. Inside the same drive. No note. He opened the files. Sae the evidence and broke. Ronaldi. His partner. His friend. Betrayal ran deep in the city. He picked his gun. That evening,the Romano mansion lit up with shouting. Enzo has traced the rat between their circle. "Angelo," he announced. "The accountant. He tripped off the Feretti's. In exchange for safe passage and money." The elders demanded blood. Luca stopped them. "He gets a trial. We're not savages. Some objected. But Enzo stood beside his brother. "We do this the right way. Or we become the monsters they say we are." Later,Aria met with Gianna. "I need your help," she said. Gianna crossed her arms. "No more secrets?" Together,they prepared a dossier. A special report. Blowing open the Feretti-Romano war,the police corruption the lacked files. A story that could change the entire city.
