I smell him almost instantly and I look over at my mom who is watching me. She takes an obvious breath and I follow suit focusing on my breath to try to control the overwhelming feelings creeping up. It was hard enough being this close to Xander, mixing Travis scent into it is driving Ruby wild. She’s howling in my mind. There’s a knock at the door and my mom goes to open it. Xander reaches out and grabs my hand locking eyes with me. I offer him a small smile, but it doesn’t ease the anger I feel off of him. “Hi you must be Travis?” My mom says to him. I take another breath and peek over at him. He’s staring at me and Xander - he’s more still than I’ve ever seen him before. There’s a long pause where no one moves. “Travis hi, why don’t you come in?” I ask to break the silence.
