Travis scoops me up, cradling me in his arms and carries me up the beach towards the house.
It’s stunning. A sprawling 1 story beach house, with floor to ceiling windows covering almost the entire wall facing us. There are tropical plants and trees all around it, and large cabanas with plushy day beds peppered all along the beach. I take a deep inhale, feeling the heat and smelling the slightly salty scent of the ocean, feeling instantly more relaxed.
