The day went by just normal but her mind flew in the clouds, far and farther until it was in this magical place. As she listens in her playlist—making her mind drive further. She is having a relaxing time, maybe the last relaxing time she will have.
After a bit she wake up from her daydreaming and went back to what she is doing. Turning pages is like turning back time. Every paper has a meaning and a short story and full of variety of emotions. The notebook symbolizes her teenage years. A very fruitful and a beautiful stage of life even there is darkness within it.
Not all her pages are colorful nor blank. It looks like you can see her and it reflects herself and creative mind. She gets some specialty paper from one of her drawers and put it in as a divider. “My 20s” was written on the paper and turn another page for her to write on it.
The first words that she wrote are “trembling sky” “uneasiness” overflowing with random thoughts”. She doesn’t notice that what she wrote was definitely coming from her heart. She faced the trembling sky with uneasiness of what will be coming tomorrow. She can’t concentrate as her mind was crowded with an overflowing with random thoughts.
She seems not realizing that the concept of idea bank was to release the emotions kept within herself. The idea bank when she was younger grow on her but the time she stops it vanished like a bubble floating in the air. What her inputs may can be a great output when they will build together.
“Long hours and I’m sitting my ass here,” she whispered in herself. She continued to gather some words and assuring her it’s just an assignment way back high school or even college. She is doing this for her scriptwriter internship in the Levitate Entertainment.
Every first time is such a memory and she is a girl that always want to have a great memory with her. She wants her first internship to be amazing for her to always comeback if ever she feels down.
Later on a knock from the door happened and it is her cousin.
“Wanna hang out?” she asked.
“What are you a kid?”
“What!?” she surprisingly asked the older. “It doesn’t mean that I am asking hang out means I am a child!”
“What are we doing if I join you?”
“Movie marathon?”
“Hmm…Okie!” she agreed as she think that it might help her leash her creative mind.
“What genre are we watching?” asked Aryn as she clean her desk. Put back her secret notebook and all.
“Romance? Rom-com?” she blabbered as she scrolls on Netflix.
“That’s a great!” she unconsciously praised her.
“What’s great? The genre?” she asked confusingly. Aryn minds is nowhere as she blab things, and on the other hand her cousin looks confused.
“So…what movie?” she asked again as she received no response from the latter.
“Earth to aryn!” she yelled as she waved her hands in front of Aryn’s face.
“Ah-Oh!” she exclaimed. “Where are we?”
“Well, we are in the middle of choosing what genre and you’re out of nowhere,” she explained. “If you’ll be zoning out—I’ll kick you into somewhere else, you’ll see!”
She just threatened the old lady. She is just daydreaming or let us say maladaptive daydreaming. She knows herself that she can stop this by putting away the attention to somewhere else so for the meantime she helps herself up by getting herself be interested about the movie because it will benefit her anyways.
“All the boy I’ve loved before? Or The princess switch?” her cousin was busy finding the vibe by the pictures she is seeing and let Aryn knows if it is a pass.
“Hmm…I want something-”
“Something what?”
“I don’t know! You just pick something and let me just watch it!”
“are you like doing something like an essay?” she asked curiously as Aryn has a paper and a pen instead of Popcorn and drink.
“Sort of?” she just said not really intended to give out a reason. “Well, as for you! You can go and get some snacks!”
“Oh wow!” she sarcastically exclaimed.
“Please!” she pleaded and her cousin went to the pantry to get snacks.
The movie started a while ago and she just fill out half of the paper because on how she was invested in the movie, the storyline. She is a detailed person but in here she just put what she sees that seems important of the highlight of the story. She is also more focusing on the dialogues. What you see in the movie is different on how you should write it down. The banking of ideas can’t be finished by only one movie also so as much as she wants to sit back and watch more movies her ass is aching.
“It seems like I’m aging!”
“Oh! AHAHAHAHA poor butt!”
“Don’t laugh at me like that or you’ll be screaming in pain!”
“Whoa! That’s so harsh! You’re a scary little b***h!” she commented.
“So what?”
“What?” she mocked. “Mom will go back in a minute. Don’t try to kill me!”
“Sure, I will not dirty my hands for someone like you!”
“Ouch! That hurts!” Cosette said and acts like she is in real pain.
“Stop being a drama llama!”
“Hey! Arghhh! I hate you!”
“Love you!”
“Eww!” Cosette responded. “By the way, where is your friend?”
“Dem?”
“Who else? She is only your friend,”
“Alright! I’m sorry!” she sarcastically said. Dem was the only friend she has left except for Cosette. she doesn’t have friends since, and when she won awards and get recognized she was overwhelmed with how many girls and guys want to meet, have coffee, have a picture with her or be friends with her because of fame—but that time when she was asking help to support her in her upcoming competition no one responds to her. She faintly smiled at the thought as the realization hit her that time differently and cut all of their communications.
Sometimes when you are overwhelmed by something you’re getting blind by it. Dem was hurt by the thing she did as she didn’t listener to her even though Dem knows and observes what is their real intention but Aryn is not just blind but deaf also. She even thought that Dem is just jealous on how many she acquired that day but then it’s less than a week and it’s gone. She also realized that sometimes if you got something fast it will disappear fast also and that’s what happened to her. Those things affects not just them and also her. She became selfish and judgmental to her friend without knowing that she is just concerned by her being.
“Uhm…Aryn? Are you still there?”
“Oh..Yeah! Is aunt here now?” she asked and Cosette nodded. Her eyes full of worrying and confusion on what is happening to Aryn this day.
“She told me that you should take a nap because you must felt pressured for tomorrow,”
“Really?” she said in low voice, ashamed by what she did. She can’t even help in the chores or at least buy the groceries because of the feeling rising in her body. Even she pretends to not be bothered her heart is racing like it’ll burst as the word “tomorrow” slips off their mouths.
This is the first time she felt it not even in her big competitions. She doesn’t want to call Tristan to calm her down as she knows maybe he is sleeping or working for his next project. Dem on the other hand, told her that she might go outside to see some company if they are hiring or maybe she is leaving to go back to Honfleur.
“Is that alright?” she asked making sure if it’s okay to them. “I felt useless.”
“Don’t be! You’re not the only one!” her cousin joked. She laughed a bit as she knows what she is talking about.
“Aryn!” her aunt yelled from her bedroom.
“Just take a nap and you can always wash dishes later evening if you are feeling useless,” she suggested while laughing.
“Oh! You heard mom? AHAHAHA!” she laughed at the humor of her mother. “Well, we are now not useless.”
“Yeah, just unemployed. Isn’t it?”
“Are you pertaining to someone?”
“Huh? I don’t know?” she asked innocently.
Cosette just sighed. She is definitely going dumb and said, “Just go!”
“Sweet dreams!” she added.
“Yeah, and see you later!”
“See you if you see me!” she replied. Aryn will replied but she walks to her mom’s room—so she just let it be.
Aryn tried to take a nap as her body wants too but her mind seems to disagree and kept on working and making ideas. So she used her head while laying flat in her stomach.
