It feels like an hour going back but it was lessening when I walked by the streets that goes to home. Once I step foot on the mini stairs I reached for my keys and unlock the door and went straight to my room. I put down my bag and remove my shoes and get the paper that is chilling in the envelope.
“You can do it!” I cheered myself up. I am asking why I am being nervous despite that I am not the one that risk it. I know its freaking hard but if it is the only way to get those fxcking approval then I will risk it. I don’t even know why I am so into it in the first place. I should not be in between their lives but here I am doing such thing that will put my life and the others on line.
Frankly speaking finding the truth is not so easy to do nor to get those. It’s fascinating to know that they need to hide those records from her and anybody else if there are being really honest to us, to her especially. I honestly don’t know what I am gaining here but if there is one job I can do is to help. That’s what I am, a one-call away friend or just acquaintance to them.
I am glad that I am not the only one working on this but also there’s someone who can help me go through this all and be part of the plan and it shockingly work. I’m just eager as him on how did I manage or he manage to get her mom’s signature with her noticing.
I took some days off and went a bit far away or avoid the café. I still need to be careful about my actions but whenever I get to go somewhere and avoiding the café is nothing to worry about—I can see that he was doing alright. He, his mom and the café is doing just right, and I don’t need to worry too hard.
I pulled out my phone and texted Mr. Jace about what happened. He was so delightful about it and as I said earlier, he is also curious about how it went so well. I just joked that they are idiots to notice. After that my mom’s call flashed right in front of me and I can’t do anything but to answer her call.
“Dem? Are you still in the house right now?” she asked. It looks like it’s not that urgent. I sighed and answered her. “Yes, mom!”
“I am wondering if you will come back later at night?”
“Y-yes…um…I’ll be there? I am currently going to pack in this moment,” I said while looking at the empty luggage in the floor. I am not even started nor want to start.
“Really?” I heard her voice sparked with happiness and relief. “Oh! Make sure to pack some food for us, I am sick with the hospital food.” She complained. “As for your dad, I think he is enjoying his sleep.”
“Mom!” I whined. She is trying to joke around and it turns out really bad.
I can’t believe it but I understand that she finally wants some laughter around her but not that joke. I can laugh all day but with the different joke. I let out a fake chortle as I spoke and kindly warned her. “Well, please! Don’t joke about it mom, and see you both later!”
“Fine, my daughter!” she agreed. “Then, I’ll see you later!” she said and hang up.
I sighed and pulled myself up and headed to the kitchen to get the “food” that she wants. I think the food she wants are those that need to be cook first instead of the foods that comes with preservative in a metallic can. I am thinking of something that can be cooked easily and can be store in a refrigerator for days. I scurried to my room to get my phone and wallet, I have decided that I will go to the market nearby because of these unforeseen ideas in my head.
I want to cook for my mom and be sure that it is healthy but at the same time it will taste appetizing than the hospital food she is complaining with. This will be my first time cooking—I don’t even know how but I will just depend on the recipes and the video tutorial.
I am now in the market. I am rushing things today because I got short time to get those ingredients—and I am now realizing on how stupid I am because I forgot to list down the ingredients despite that I am still lucky because the ingredients are posted in the website where I got the recipe.
The sun is going to set but here I am still getting the goods to complete the two meals that is good for two people. I also added some ingredients that rarely can be seen in our kitchen, like balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, goat cheese, and cooked or canned beets. I went on the cashier to pay those. This will be the final stop because I finished buying in the dry and wet market.
I checked the list to know what I bought is enough or I am missing something and when I think it’s done then I proceed to leave the place. I entered and moved quickly to prepare the meals I have been deeming for. It’s not some grandiose meal but a decent one can be said. I am cooking a French Country Salad with Lemon Dijon Vinaigrette and Sole Meunière. The latter is said to be a quick and easy dish and I can make it within 15 minutes that’s why I chose to cook it despite having to buy the ingredients and start from scratch. I hope mom is doing well in there and be patient because I am doing this for her, for us rather.
After all the hard work, it paid so much because of the visuals that I am seeing right now. It’s no guys but the freaking visuals of the food I prepared. I put the dishes nicely in the clean plastic containers. I kept a little gap and didn’t close to make sure to cool it off as I wash the dishes and clean all the mess I made because I will be not returning home tomorrow and so on.
After I wash and clean the mess I make one’s way to my room to get a duffel bag that is suitable, handy and spacious to put all the sealed containers, and water on it tightly, also with the fruits that I bought earlier. I packed it all and moved my body quickly as possible because I can’t see any light outside besides the lights from the street. I didn’t bother to change my clothes and just grab and put on my padded jacket because of the crazy wintry wind that touches my skin.
I breath in relief when I saw that I am not late for the bus to come. I am also happy that I am not alone in the bus which is creepily scary and my anxiety will be awaken in no time and I hate it.

In the other city far away from her, an old man with his whisky on his hands, swirling it is having his time of his life.
It was no other than, Frederick,
The old man is sitting fancy in his golden swivel chair while facing the man who is behind the pain of Dems father.
He smirked as his ears blessed with words that his plan was well executed. The man in front of him is shaking and looking terrified when he laughed like a maniac.
“Good job! Here’s your money!” he said as he dumped the white envelop that holds the payment for it.
“Did you double it as what we agreed?” the man gulped his last saliva if it turns wrong.
“Yes. I’m always following what is said and what we agreed as long as it was well done.” He replied. He put his glass down and sit down properly and glared at the man and sharply said. “Get out.”
The man almost flew all the way in the front door in fear. He was shook on how his boss changes moods. He is still grateful because he is still alive when he went out.
“Hey, Philip call someone to make sure that guys that I forgot the name to be under surveillance.” He called his secretary and commanded. He nodded his head and left the room.
Even if the plan went successful the desired result was never in there. He wanted to see, Dem react horribly. He chuckled sarcastically when he thought that he underestimated her. He now knows that she can handle the situation grate than what he expected.
It was disappointing but he still need to go on and proceed to his other plans—wherein he will try to persuade Dem to join his company and make sure that all the company she have been submitted application will not be accepted or approved.
He also made sure that it will look like it was a coincidence with her situation because he knows how money works and any time soon she’ll be needing a stable job to support his family and his father in the hospital.
“Tristan, you’re here!” he exclaimed. “What do you want to report?” he asked his grandson that entered his study or office without him noticing.
He put down again his whisky and gestured Tristan to be seated.
He can’t look at Tristan because he resembles exactly his late son.
Tristan gulped and spoke. “Well, I saw that Jace is suspiciously spotted in Caen.”
“Jace? How about him?” he asked as he was not exactly prepared to hear the named that was mentioned. He frowned and snapped. “I thought Aryn is YOUR business here? What happened?” He emphasize the word because he consider that he is doing only that business and no other funny ones but he guessed he was wrong.
“We-well, gra-grandfather I make sure that my people will use their brains and do the work perfectly for me.” he stuttered while giving some reasons.
“and?” he is still frowning while he asked the question.
“I am suggesting that you should not waste your time and bother about that bastard!”
“But-” he was interrupted as the old man spoke cut him. “No buts. If he is really bothering your existence—leave it to me. I’ll be the one dealing him when he is not much of a treat or if I were you, I’ll let him do whatever he wants to do in Caen!” he speaks with so much sense and suggestions for his great grandson.
That silence was the official end and Tristan can’t do anything but to obey his grandfather suggestions.
He left with a bother heart but as the time passed he was out of energy to even do what he wants anyways.
He lowered his head and sighed and asked his grandfather’s secretary. “Should I be going?”
“Yes, sir if you don’t have any thing to say.” He replied.
“You can leave now, sir.” He spread his arm to point out the door, kindly to the frustrated guy.
“Please, don’t do something that your grandfather don’t want you to do because as I can see all of his plan was successfully done.”
He nodded, understanding all of it. He sighed as the servants of his grandfather bowed to him while he walked to the grand door.
His car is waiting in front of it beside the valet who has his cars’ key
He ride his car, and can’t do nothing but to go back to his penthouse.
As soon as he entered he received a call from his assistant. “Yes, Gem?” he asked once he answered the call.
“Sir, I made a way for Aryn to join the division where Jace was.” She informed him. which made him smile a bit and thanked her for the piece of good news.
She was put in the ‘Division’ where Jace was. It’s not only Jace in the division but mixed of rookie actors and veteran actors. The division is a group of people, including the actors, film producers, and directors and the other crews who is behind every movie they make—alongside with Aryn’s screenwriting team.
The entertainment company is a big and famous one, means that they handled many actors and rookie actors, with the system of ‘Divisions’ they can be all organized. The projects that they will produce, are all unified.
Aryn is working on the company for about a week now, along with her teammates. She also gained new friends and she is happy working with them. As of now, they are currently inside the conference room. They held a meeting, it’s not that urgent because they gave out memorandum days ago.
“Welcome! We are here to discuss the splitting of our employees into a five-division.” Ms. Shine began. She is the chief director for all the teams, even the film directors are under her.
---
She has the power to gathers all together and to be able to put us on our specific divisions and we will work together—those division that will be created later will have different projects.
An hour passed as they organized first those who have higher positions or the above the line persons and then the below the line which our department was in.
After some more team, we are now called. “For screenwriters, Ms. Ashton and Ms. Laurent will be on Division 1 along with Mrs. Rousseau and Ms. Auclair.” She announced and I hurriedly keynoted it as they go on.
In the end, they told us that they will make sure to finalize and give us a soft copy of the list of our new teammates, along with the actors and directors that we will be working with and also the main project. This is a whole new chapter for me and us again. I am eager and excited to learn from the masters of films, I’ll be honored working with.
