“Mr. Etienne!” someone screamed my name. I am in my label to do something or get something rather. Continuing my mission to get it closer to her. I don’t have the time all my life but this will make it easier.
“Why is it, Gem?” I asked the staff who is now beside me. She handed me an envelope and said, “The Hiring manager likes the one you referred.”
“Really?” I asked surprisingly. I grinned at the thought that she is useful too. It’s like killing two birds in one stone.
“Those are the things you need,” she said.
“I’ll check it later! Thanks a lot!” I thanked her and left for the artist lounge. I must check if all the things are here and perfect. This envelope has the interview questions that Gem got for me. It’s not the original but a notebook full of the questions that might appear in the interview tomorrow. I texted one of my staff that I trust the most. All this stuff works on the company at the same time works for me too. After that, I texted Aryn if she has time to meet up with me.
She might know but because I’m the one who suggests applying to the same company I joined she might have questions in her mind. She replied immediately and agreed to meet up with me in a few. I fix the things and put them back to where they are supposed to be.

“Hey, Tristan you’re only just here!” His manager walked into the lounge but he walked away as Aryn said yes to him. This will be his chance again.
“Hey! Where are you-” his manager yelled at him but he ignores his annoying manager. He doesn’t like his manager but his grandfather chose the man because the older guy is as obedient and as loyal as a dog. He drove off to the apartment which he memorized its address fast. He texted Aryn that he arrived at her apartment.
The day went well as what he wanted and started to take Aryn home so he can also study and fill in his notes about all he has done because sooner or later his grandfather will call him to report and to ask if there is an accomplishment on what he is doing. Tristan is very hardworking on the task he was always given. As much as he has a goal he will do it no matter what. He is blinded by his ambitions, he is desperate to get it even though his path is still long and blurry.
He is desperate in his desire to be free, that he believes that there lay dreams unknown because every path is stained with blood. He doesn’t even know if it’s a blessing or a curse, the only thing he wants is to be unclenched from his grandfather’s clutches but if there’s a condition he doesn’t have a choice to risk it.
As he walked along to the life of Aryn he never will and never think that he is creating a connection between them. He can see in his vision that they are just playing and he will make sure to play and win every game.
Tristan pour a whisky on his glass as he was sitting under the full moon on his balcony. He has a penthouse that was given to him temporarily and he is just there to enjoy his life despite all.
“Tomorrow will be a big day for both of us.” He uttered in the wind as he places a grin.

“Aryn!” Cosette screamed at her face as she put eyeshadow in the older eyes. “Please stop moving is!”
“It’s not moving! What are you saying?”
“What-Arghh!” She was annoyed by what she just heard and regretting her decision to help the older one to put on her make-up.
“I don’t know how did they manage to put great make-up in that face of yours.”
“What? Wait? Did you stalk me?”
“No. Why would I?” she denied but she indeed looked at January’s figure skating page, but she doesn’t want to admit it and called it stalking. It’s more like she is visiting or looking at her page to make sure it is true.
“Fine, you win!” she uttered sarcastically.
“Bleh!” she teased the older one. They are both adults with a childlike spirit. Well, we have the liberty and the right to once again behave like a child. We often do it whenever, and wherever we are as long as we are comfortable with the people around us. Aryn found an instant friend in the way of his cousin.
“Bleh!” Aryn mocked her. She saw that her auntie just shook her head means that she is used to it every day. She noticed how big is her difference from her mother or maybe because her mom is the older one that’s why she is so serious and stricter than her pretty cool auntie and chill with glasses on and a book in her hand.
“Please, put my make-up on a bit faster!” she commanded, as she felt that her cousin is going too slow. She wants is to finish her make-up because her legs and body shake because of the tension, and nervousness.
“I’ll be able to finish this in less than 5 minutes if your body will stop shaking.”
“My bad!”
“It’s fine, as long as you keep still,” she said. “You have some time to get there and mom said she will drive you there.”
“Auntie?” she asked with a huge grin on her face and anticipation in her eyes. Her body is gradually relaxing from the thought of not be commuting today.
After some touches here and there the make-up session by Cosette came to an end. She looks splendid as her make-up looks natural and not much that she will look like a cake with a lot of icing on top of it. She looks young and independent but not as independent as the owner is to put her make-up on which is somehow ironic.
Today has finally come! It’s the day where they are all been waiting for, mostly Aryn. It’s the day where she will be stepping into her new chapter as an adult and hopefully, to be accepted in the company, or else she will cry her eyes out or she will be kicked and land on the vast land and sea of her port city.
She made a deal to her mother that she will be permitted to move out to Paris if she will be able to get a job quickly, if not she will back to her beautiful café to manage it.
“Are you ready?” Her auntie yelled from the living room as she fixes her clothes in her room because the mirror is placed there.
“What do I look like, Auntie?” she asked as she went out to see them.
“You look pleasing and delightful!” Melinda commented. Her cousin claps her hands, looking like a proud mom beside her mom.
“My pleasure!” she said as she blushes at the compliment she received. It’s much more genuine than the girls she competed with not many years ago.
“Tu peux le faire, Aryn!!” (You can do it, Aryn!!) Cosette cheered. January flashes a warm smile and chuckle a bit as she noticed that Cosette loves to use that phrase.
“Let’s go!!” Cosette’s mom said gesturing that we should go now as the time is ticking. All of them were in her auntie’s car. While driving to the company which is surprising to know that Melinda knows the way. Well, she lived almost half of her entire life she must know every alley the city has.
Aryn was quiet in the backseat as she starts to review again the questions and update Dem on what’s going on. Dem and she have minimal time to chat with each other right after they stepped foot in the city. It’s very understandable from both sides, and being friends doesn’t mean you need to tell them and update them on what is going on here and there.
The both of them decide to meet up before the competition starts. She will be there also on the same day the GSU Grand Prix Finals starts.
“Here we are!!” Her aunt announced excitedly. She stopped reading and put the notebook back in her bag.
“Will…you go in?” she hesitantly asked because she don’t have any idea if outsiders can enter.
“Can we go, mom?”
“If only we have written authorization from the HR management or badges or passes,” she said. “We can just wait for you here!”
“Or maybe I can call Tristan if he can do us a favor.” She suggested and speaking of the man, she just received an incoming call from Tristan.
“Hello?”
“Hello, Aryn!” the man on the other line responded.
“Are you in the company now?”
“I am in the parking lot,” she responded. “But there is a problem.”
“What is it? I might help you,”
“Well, my aunt and cousin can’t enter the building if there is no pass,”
“Oh! That’s easy! Don’t worry I will send you someone to give passes for both of them.”
“Really?” She smiled on the phone.
“Yes, so come up here now!”
“OMG! Thank you, Trist! You’re the best!” she laughed full-heartedly as if the stress from earlier disappeared.
“Welcome! See you!” he said and ended the call. Aryn told the news and the trio started to walk up to the main entrance of the company.
As they entered the company, the guard approached them.
“Outsiders, can’t come in!” she said. “Only applicants can enter unless you have a visitor’s pass.”
“Oh! Sorry for being late!” a female staff interrupted and whispered to the guard. The guard left them and proceed to entertain other applicants.
“Sorry for that!” she apologized. “Here’s your passes. Don’t worry there is no validity as long as it’s still working hours. You can seat in the visitor’s lounge while you wait for Ms. Ashton.”
“For you, Ms. Ashton you can follow me!” she instructed me. I bid farewell to them as I followed the female.
“My name is Gem and it’s nice to meet you, Ms. Ashton,”
“Nice meeting you too!” I replied politely.
“Wait here for a second! You can seat on the vacant seats there, while you’re waiting.” I nodded my head as she walked away and enter a room. After a minute, she went out.
“Good morning applicants, I’m Ms. Bernard,” she began. “Once I call your name please enter the room to my right.”
“Mr. Thomas!” she called and a man went on the door. After a time, she was now called and she entered the room. She felt cold and anxious but she fight it because it will make her fail the interview. After some questions, she proudly and smoothly answered them with honesty. She was happy that she had ready herself from it, she can endure it because it’s getting to the finish line.

“Why do you want this job?” the interviewer asked.
"I know the company's mission and growth-oriented mindset are in line with my values. Both get me excited about work that is inclined with my knowledge and shows my creativeness which is why I would love to be part of the team.” She said confidently.
“What are your future goals?”
“Eventually, I’d like to make my way to be a director position. As I work here I will be able to familiarize all the aspects of the work, and work on improving my knowledge in the areas I’m less familiar with so that I can oversee an entire project.”
After some follow-up questions it change into an awkward and much more tense atmosphere in the room, the interviewer finally spoke, “We’ll let you know.”
“Thank you!” I said smiling at them. I didn’t even notice the time as I focused on the interview. It seems I can read their minds but I will not hope too much that it will break my heart.
I will hope for the best because I know I did all my best for the interview. I walked down to the lobby with a hopeful and grateful heart and mind.
