She gave in to the onslaught of his lips with a soft moan that disappeared into Christopher’s mouth. Jane scrabbled to hang onto his shoulders as the kiss on the back of his confession of love lit a fire inside her. She was dying to respond in words and tell him she had fallen for him too and would gladly spend the rest of her life with him. But he didn’t seem interested in any more words. He kissed her with a desperation she mirrored. Her body flooded with needs that ached to be fulfilled, longings that wouldn’t be suppressed, no matter how hard she tried to ignore them. His hand left the back of her head and found the hem of her nightshirt.
