It's just the beginning

So here I am, sitting across the Headmaster as he gives me his cocky smile. As if I could look deeper and see what he's really thinking.

"Now, the schedule here is a bit complicated due to the different species that attend here. There is a daytime schedule and a night time schedule. Some of your classes will be during the day and some at night, so I suggest you get your sleep and studying in when you can. You will see more Vampires around the nighttime schedule and other creatures of the night."

All day schedules? You've got to be kidding me.

"Now there's also classes, not the ones you attend, but rather your class of power. There's exactly 4 classes. Class V is the highest class, I'm talking offsprings of powerful demons, angels, Vampires, alpha wolves, Witch clan leaders, you name it, it's in there, but you have to have a great amount of power to be In there. The next class below that is class H, the creatures in there are pretty powerful but are weakened easier, has more to learn."

This has me wondering where I will be.

"The one below that is class T, class T's power is fairly limited and most likely won't reach the power of class V, but with extended effort, they have a chance. Lastly is class R, class R has next to none power, they more use their gifts for small and petty things. Requires very extensive learning but will never in their lives reach class V."

I'd hate to be in class R, it would feel pointless to even be here.

"Now before you had even arrived, my staff and I researched as much as we could about you to see which class you would be in. And the class you will be in is class X."

Did I just hear him right? Class X? That doesn't even make any sense, it doesn't exist.

"But that class doesn't exist."

"It does, but only with the rarest of students, there hasn't been anyone in class X in centuries. To be in class X means your power has no limits, you could take out a class V student in a blink of an eye, without breaking a sweat. Theres almost nothing in this world that weakens you, and if you're not careful, you could destroy society as we know it. Which is why you will be going through special classes added onto your normal ones, and you will be wearing this class patch on your uniform at all times. Every student is required to wear their class patch, and if you are caught without it, you will be issued immediate detention."

He hands me a fabric patch in the shape of a shield, bordered with a silver color and a silver X in the middle. I stuck it on the left side of my jacket on my chest.

"Perfect, now since your class is indeed rare, you will be staying in the class V dorms. You already have a roommate waiting for you and who will help show you around. I have your schedule printed out for you, with the common rules on the back. We expect every student to follow them, no exceptions understood?"

I nodded, looking at my schedule I saw my first period isn't until 10am, second period is at 12pm, third period is 3pm, fourth is at 8pm, 5th is at 10pm, 6th is at midnight, and 7th is at 2 in the morning. So it would seem I have quite a bit of time in between my classes, doesn't seem there's a set time to go an eat, I'm guessing since everyone's schedule is so different, they can go eat when they want.

"If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask anyone around, including me. Mr. Agnello will take you to your room, your trunk is already there. Have a lovely day Miss Green."

I get up and turn to follow Mr. Agnello, to be honest I'm nervous at how many species there might be here. I've only read about a couple, but I'm clueless to whatever else there might be out there. Whatever else there might be here.

We leave the building and go across the large courtyard, I find it weird that there's no students around, not a single student.

"Where is everyone?"

"Everyone goes to church in the mornings, it's on your schedule."

I didn't see that, I look again and see it 8:30am, church. I didn't really grow up with religious beliefs, but I'm open to It I guess.

We walk into another large building and up a large staircase, finally reaching a door that read 350 B, he took out an old key and unlocked it, opening the door for me. He then handed me the key and guided me inside.

"That key is yours for the room, don't lose it. The other bed is yours, feel free to decorate your side of the room however you please. School here is 5 years long, and your books for your classes are on your desk. We also have a shop at the front of the school to buy whatever supplies you need. You can earn money by applying for different school jobs around the campus. Today you don't have to worry about attending classes since you are new, so just worry about getting familiar with the school and then tomorrow you will start."

That was a lot to take in at once, but I think I got it. "Thank you."

And just like that he was gone, the door closed behind him. I sat on my bed and looked outside of my window, I had a glorious view of the courtyard, not much to see with everyone at church.

Suddenly a large bell went off, it sounded like those large ones above the old schools back in the day. And will that Bell, all of the students started pouring out of the doors of the church. I was so amazed to see all the different kinds of students. Some with blue skin, some with red eyes, even some with bat like wings. There were so many different kinds of creatures, my eyes just couldn't keep up.

Suddenly my door opens and with it a large squeal.

"EEEEEEEKKK!! MY ROOMATE IS FINALLY HERE!!"

This girl with cat ears and eyes, and black fur like hair on her head, pounces on me, l*****g my face.

"For the love of- can you please get off of me!"

She gasps, getting off right away, her ears pouting. "I am so sorry! Sometimes I just get so excited and I forget to act normal. My name is Sammy, and I am a meria cat."

"A what?"

She looks at me confused "Do you not know what a meria cat is?"

I shake my head in confusion.

"Meria cats are half human, half cats. We are as stealthy as cats, as well as dangerous as them with our claws. No one really knows how our kind came to be, but here we are! Some say witches created us as a joke, but then we multiplied and they didn't know how to stop it. So we ended up being a common species."

Witches? Meria cats? Where the hell am I?

"Sooooo, what are you?"

"I'm not really sure, all I know is my mom was an arch angel and my dad was a higher demon, like Satan's right hand man or something. But thats really all I know."

Her eyes grow huge, it was almost creepy.

"Yo- you- you're a half breed? I thought they didn't exist anymore."

"Whats a half breed?"

"Typically half breeds are created from a higher power, a very high power. Like an angel, or a demon. But I never heard of a half breed that consisted of both sides. I only heard of like a half angel half human, or a half demon half human. You are very rare indeed."

Her eyes go lower, and she let's out a gasp "YOU'RE A CLASS X!! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!"

"I mean I know it's rare but it's not that big of a deal."

She grabs my hand "No you don't understand, the most power creatures to ever walk this earth were class X. But they were almost like God's, invincible, impossible to take out. So many were afraid of their power that they brought all different kinds of creatures together to take them out. It took a very long time, and many lives were lost, but they succeeded. No one has even come close to qualifying for the X class since then, until you."

Everyone keeps telling me I'm powerful, but I don't feel it. I've only ever been able to do a couple of things in my life, I have no God like power. Not that I have seen.

She clears her throat, "Well I'm honored to have an amazing roommate like you, I know we will be great friends. Now, are you hungry? It's A mealtime."

"Whats A mealtime?"

"Well since everyone has such different classes, there's an A B C meal time. A is in the morning, B is in the afternoon, and C is at night."

"Oh, well I guess I could eat."

"Perfect! After I can show you around, maybe meet a couple people as well."

So far my first day has made my head spin so much, I could puke. What could possibly be next?
