Tyler “Screw this,” I said as I got up, got dressed, and headed out for a jog. I knew what Dr. Connor had suggested—rest and all that other bullshit—but staying in one place felt like way too much work. I was tired of doing nothing, staying in bed, and I missed Erica so, so much. The worry in her eyes the other day stayed with me. I got out of my apartment, plugged in my earpods, and just began running. The sky was still a bit dark, but there were a few other athletes who were also jogging.
