Waking Up

"Ass," she said slapping him.
"Absolutely," he said grinning back.
"You are so lucky that I love you."
"Yes, Yes, I am." he nodded very seriously.
Elizabeth leaned over and kissed him. "Are you going to tell me what you did when I left?"
"I went to the cells and talked to your cousin."
"I know, I knew you would."
"I am so sorry about what he did."
"You had no way of knowing."
"I should have realized, if you hadn't we would all be dead right now."
"If Alex hadn't jumped in front of me, I would be dead."
Jared tensed hearing her say that. "We were lucky he reacted so fast."
"He could have died, I didn't even know I could heal him," she said her voice catching.
Jared hugged her tightly, "He would have died protecting you, he made that choice. You are worth it."
"No, I am not," she said shaking her head. She felt another set of arms snake around her.
"Yes, you are completely worth it. I would die for you and never regret it."
"You can't mean that. I will never be worth it."
Alex pulled her onto his chest, kissing her. "You will always be worth it. Elizabeth, what do you want to do with all of them?"
"I really don't know, but I do need to speak with them."
"Not today," Alex said staring at the ceiling still holding her.
"Why not?"
"Well, My Queen, I heard something about group activities."
Jared started laughing.
"You two," she said slapping him. Then she slapped Jared and got off the bed headed for the shower. They laughed harder hearing the door lock.
"Guess it won't be today," Jared yelled after her.
"Good guess," she yelled back.
Jared and Alex got dressed and placed some clothes on the bed for Elizabeth.
"Come on, we need to make her breakfast," Jared said to Alex.
"Pups need to eat also," Alex told him.
"I kept them up late on purpose, I knew what you two were doing and figured you might want to talk in the morning. They should all sleep in pretty late."
"Thanks," Alex said looking at Jared. "You are really ok with this?"
"I knew this was coming. Plus, I hate seeing you looking like you are going to end things."
"I don't look like that."
"Yeah, you really do," Jared said looking at him. "I have had people watching you for a while now."
Alex stared at him, "Were they just supposed to watch or stop me?"
Jared laughed, "I told them to stop you."
"Good to know." He said thinking about it. "So you were always willing to share her with me?"
"Yeah, she needs you too."
"You really are the perfect guy. I wish I was half as good as you."
"Goals," he said laughing.
Elizabeth had been listening to them. She felt relieved hearing them tease each other. "What did you make me?"
"Bacon," Alex said grinning.
"More than Bacon," Jared said rolling his eyes.
"She only cares about the bacon," Alex informed him.
"That is correct," she said nodding shoving a piece into her mouth.
Alex Laughed and Jared looked at her in shock, "You really just did that?"
"Yup," Elizabeth said as she did it again.
"She is always like that," Alex said as he fixed her a plate.
She happily took the plate and sat down eating it. Jared looked at them both, he missed them getting this close. Alex actually knew what she wanted to eat. He fixed a plate and sat down with them eating happily.
They decided to spend the day together, Alex suggested they go to the lake. Jared and Elizabeth agreed and arranged for the pups to be brought later when they woke up. They headed for the lake after shifting into wolf form. They ran through the woods for an hour before they came to the lake. Shifting back they were all naked. Alex dropped some suits he brought for when the kids joined them, he couldn't take his eyes off Elizabeth.
"Put your eyes back into your head," Elizabeth said diving into the lake.
Alex followed and Jared was pretty quick at following.
