33 Flynn I groaned, the choked noise from my throat rousing me from empty darkness. Thinking I’d slept well for the first time in months, I rolled, and pain slammed into my head like an avalanche, dizzying my brain like I tumbled end over end. My fingertips found wetness on my head, and I clenched my eyes tight against the throbbing inside my skull. What had happened— Saige. Gunshot.
