Chapter 26

“How did you rope me into this again?” Noah asked Darius with a quizzical brow. The two of them were making their way across the grounds to the Winter Solstice Festival, with shinty sticks in hand and dressed in blue uniforms under their coats. The snow was starting to fall gently over Castle Gealach, creating a sense of quiet stillness over the grounds. “C’mon, mate, it’ll be fun!” Darius exclaimed. “Besides, I owed Ryan a favor for helping setup the decorations for the All Hallows’ Eve Ball, and he needed two extra players when his team caught the flu.” Noah groaned at the prospect of facing Hunter on the field as the opposing team. As they made their way over the crest of the hill, a large ring of tall stone formations appeared, stretching up from the green grass toward the sky.
