Although the Huntington Library had contained a great many books, some of them even devoted to cuisine of various sorts, Idris did not find the information he needed on the grounds. However, the little town of San Marino also possessed a fine public library, and it was there that he located a book on Italian cuisine. Lasagna sounded like quite an intricate dish, but he thought he should be able to manage it without too much difficulty. Actually, he was glad that Amber had set such a complicated task before him, because that way he was able to focus on the dinner he was preparing for her…and not on their imminent separation.
