The castle was quiet as Damien walked through the halls, what servants were left were cleaning up the trails of blood in silence. They knew better than to ask questions or else it would be their blood to be cleaned up next.
Sure he had taken the throne, but that damned peasant girl had escaped with his niece. Plus Maeve in her failure had also died. He did not actually love her, but he knew that she had special abilities that would have came in handy to keep the kingdom in check. He also could not see how she was even killed, there was not a scratch on her, it was as if she just fell asleep to never wake up.
“Your Majesty.”
Turning to look at the speaker, Damien was not surprised that it was Abigor. He was probably the only person in the whole castle that would dare interrupt his train on thought.
“Did you find her?” Damien asked though he could tell before Abigor even spoke what the answer would be.
“We did not find her, but the servant was but a child herself. She probably has no knowledge of taking care of a babe, let alone the sources to get what said child needs. Let us search all the homesteads in the town and if they are not there they may have been attacked by wild animals in the night.” Scar did not want the blame to fall on him, but how was he to know that the brat he had saw the night before was carrying the blasted Princess.
Waving his hand to give permission Damien watched as Abigor left to follow through with his plans. He needed to find her, the prophesy said that his brothers child would be the best ruler the kingdom had seen, which means said child would come back and take the throne he deserves. He would not let that happen, he did not suffer all these years to have what is rightfully his be taken by some child!
In his mind the kingdom had always been his. He always beat his brother at Sword, why would father put such a weak person as his heir. He would have been able to marry Alina and she would not have had to die. Such beauty could have been in his bed, but she had already been spoiled. He would have been able to overlook such a minor thing but then they went and had a babe!
He needed to find out more about the prophesy… He had never heard the full thing, just bits and pieces from Rian. Calling one of the guards over that were posted near the wall, “Tell General Abigor to continue on with his plan but to add searching for the seer as well. I need her alive.”
A smile crept onto his face as the guard hurried away, the sight making everyone in the hall way shiver. They had not had anything against the previous King and Royal Family but this new King made them scared.

*4 Hours Later*
Damien was sitting on his throne when Abigor came through the door pulling a woman behind him by the arm. She did not try to fight back but kept her head held high, not a hint of fear could be seen. That was a feat in itself being dragged by the brute that is Abigor but this is not what caught his attention, it was her ethereal beauty. Her skin was so pale it was almost translucent, her hair which was pitch black flowed down her back almost to her knees, and her eyes which were so pale blue they were almost white were filled with fierce determination.
“This is the Seer, your Majesty.” Abigor’s voice broke the spell that Damien felt he had fell under due to the woman in front of him. He had to have her, he could not have Alina, but this woman in front of him would make a fine substitution and would give him beautiful children.
“State your name.” He said it calmly but inside his excitement was building, formulating plans to keep this woman in the castle.
The woman sneered but it did not take away from her beauty. “My name does not matter, for I have seen what will happen and am prepared. You wish to hear the prophesy because it scares you, and that is good, you should be scared.” She spoke calmly as if she feared nothing.
King Damien was stunned, how dare she talk to him that way. “You are in no place to refuse my questions, I asked for a name so you give me a name. If you already knew I wished to hear the prophesy then you should recite the prophesy, if later I wished you to beg and grovel then that is what you shall do. I am the King here, you may have the ability to see the future, but here I am law.” He did not know what came over him to get angry so quickly.
Calming himself down he looked back at her and said, “Fine, forget the name for now, would you please tell me the prophesy?” Even muttering the word please left a sour taste in his mouth, why should he ever had to say that.
Closing her eyes the wraith like woman in front of him began to speak in a cold voice:
A child born
With hair like fire
Will be the Ice that cools
The raging infernos
A Kingdom in Chaos
Being eaten by madness
Can only be saved
By the biggest sacrifice
When the child comes of age
The journey shall begin
The first step
Is to search within
Once they are found
Others will stand too
A leader above all others
Bringing peace to an Era
Opening her eyes once more the King noticed they seemed even paler than before, as if the color was draining from them. Before he could ask about it the words she said next stopped his words in his throat. “I knew you would come to find me, just as I knew you would try to take what is not yours to have. I took precautions, so that even in my last minutes I would not suffer, I cannot say the same for you though. I have seen my death, and I am not scared. I have seen yours as well, enjoy your throne for when winter comes no amount of fire will keep you warm.”
As she finished speaking she collapsed to the ground, the last hint of color leaving her eyes. King Damien felt a chill run up his spine at what she said. He wanted to shake her and demand she tell him more, but he knew it would be pointless as she was no longer of this world.
Standing from his throne he did not even care that nobody bowed, he needed to get some air. He quickly walked from the throne room heading to his personal gardens. He had yet to take over the Kings sleeping chambers as he wanted it to be scrubbed of his brothers filth and redone to suit him, but now he wished he could hide in a room away from the prying eyes.
