“Aleah.”
The way Logan said her name had her hackles rising. A shudder ran through her body, even as her heart threatened to beat right out of her chest. She was actually surprised the organ was still within the confines of her body. She had been in that state for the past half hour and only seemed to get worse the longer Logan stared at her.
Trying not to give herself away, Aleah forced a smile and then turned in the water and swam to the other end of the pool. The move was meant to create some distance. But also, it was the only way she could search the beach for Kade and reassure herself that she wasn’t alone with Logan.
Kade had promised not to leave her alone with Logan, and he had kept that promise. Much to Logan’s displeasure.
