Valerie's POV We ran. The Hollow crumbled around us, stone and dust raining from the ceiling. The ground shook beneath our feet, and the screams of the dying prison echoed through the collapsing corridors. I pushed forward, my Moon-Touched visions flickering in my mind—showing me which corridors were about to collapse, which paths would lead us to safety. "Left!" I shouted. "Take the left passage!" Fenris led the way, Knox slung over his shoulders. Knox was too weak to walk, his body limp, his breathing shallow. The shard was gone, but the damage remained—the weeks of corruption had drained him, left him barely alive. I ran beside them, my hand pressing against my bleeding palm.
