Nicole leaned over and kissed his shoulder at the place where skin met scar. For a moment he stiffened, and then she felt him relax under her lips. Are you still feeling the pains? She asked ‘It pulls.’ And that would hurt. Probably nothing compared to the pain he’d endured through his years of operations, but no doubt more than what most people could bear.
