I gritted my teeth as I lifted a particularly heavy piece of roofing. Not because it was heavy, but because I'd been trying and failing to push out of my mind the fact that if not for this storm I would currently be married and mated to Tia.
My wolf had been ignoring me since the storm, after making sure I realized how stupid I was for accepting to marry Tia, and how much of a cowardly act it was.
The storm meant one thing; Mia and I were meant to be together, and the Moon goddess made sure nothing prevented that from happening, even my own foolishness.
How could I let father convince me into marrying Tia, because it was the only way to save our pack. The more I thought of it, the more I saw loopholes in everything I had been told.
