He felt like he could finally breathe once he left the jet. Dimitri had wanted to come back here since he learned of his son's birth and more so when the DNA test confirmed it. Though his father had been happy to hear about their legacy continuing by some miracle, he had not allowed Dimitri to return. There had been heavy tension between his family and another and he wanted all his best players nearby in case a war was started.
Now that he was out of the air, he took his phone off airplane mode and started to scroll through the Nstagram stories. Hex had blocked him after Sven and Amir visited her at her little store, but that didn't stop him from keeping an eye on her or his son. Her friend Susie actively posted photos and videos of them in her stories when she was with them. Comparing his son to his own photos as a child was like looking at the same person. Hex had literally just cloned him.
Though he didn't like the fact that she had named their son after the f*****g devil. Worse was that she shortened it to Lucy. A girl's name. Yeah, he didn't like that at all. If he didn't know how much she dotted on him, he'd suspect that she named him out of spite for him.
He lit a cigarette just as Amir pulled up in one of his Bentleys. He would never see the inside of an airport or need to wait more than a few minutes for a ride.
"Good to have you back, boss." Amir gave a theatrical bow. "Sven is waiting for your call."
Dimitri almost didn't hear him because he was looking at Susie's story. It showed Hex standing in the arms of what he could only assume was Keith, her face a blossom of warmth that he'd only seen on her face when she looked at their son. Did she...love him?
"Is Sven with her?"
"He followed her to some haunted maze with her friends. Her mother seems to be looking after Lucifer for her." Amir said as he scrolled through the notes in his phone. "You can call him as we drive to meet with Jason, but we're going to be late at this rate."
He almost told Amir could suck a d**k, but he bit his tongue. He needed to go over the numbers with him and see where they stood. With them so close to driving the Jamaicans out, this was something he couldn't miss. He'd have to wait to get that fucker away from her.
He slid into the back seat and called Sven. He picked up on the first ring. Before the big man could say anything Dimitri growled out a command, "Stay hidden but do not allow them to get any closer than they already have. Do what you can to drive them apart. I'll be on my way as soon as this meeting is done."
Sven grunted a response and Dimitri hung up, almost tossing the phone down. Amir wisely said nothing as he pulled away.
