News of Badar’s arrival spread quickly through the neighboring oases.
His reputation as a warrior and a noble soul had preceded him, and many were curious to meet the man who had captured the heart of the beautiful and wise Jamal.
Visitors came from far and wide to see the couple, bringing gifts and seeking their counsel.
Among the visitors was a merchant named Malik, who had known Badar since childhood.
Malik was a shrewd businessman, but he had a heart of gold and was one of Badar’s closest friends. When he arrived in Al-Rahman, he was delighted to see his old friend so happy.
“Badar, my brother!” Malik exclaimed, embracing him warmly. “It is good to see you again. I have heard many tales of your bravery, but I must say, you have outdone yourself this time. Jamal is as beautiful and wise as the stories say.”
Badar smiled, his eyes shining with pride. “Thank you, Malik. Jamal is truly a gift. I am grateful every day that our paths crossed.”
Jamal blushed at the compliment, but she welcomed Malik with open arms. She could see why Badar valued his friendship so much. Malik was charming and charismatic, with a quick wit and a ready smile.
Over the next few days, Malik spent a lot of time with Badar and Jamal, getting to know them better. He was impressed by the way they complemented each other, their strengths and weaknesses perfectly balanced. It was clear to him that they were meant to be together.
One evening, as they sat around a fire, Malik shared stories of his travels and the many adventures he had experienced. His tales were filled with excitement and danger, but also with moments of deep reflection and insight. Jamal listened intently, fascinated by the world beyond her village.
“Malik, you have seen so much of the world,” Jamal said, her eyes wide with wonder. “Tell me, what is the most important lesson you have learned?”
