Venny POV:
“Daddy, can you pick me up?” Bayley asks Levi as we walk to the empty small, baseball field.
“Tired already princess?” he asks before squatting down and letting her climb up his back and onto his shoulders.
“Yeah. This park is big. Where is grandpa Cody?” she asks and I see Levi cringe a little. He’s probably afraid that Bayley would get attached to him and Cody would just go awol again.
“He should be here any minute now,” I tell her as I walk beside them and she looks out into the distance curiously. Poor girl probably has so many questions but she doesn’t even know where to start.
There are certain things I refuse to tell Bayley until she’s older, but I know her tells and I know when she’s curious about things. I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve seen Levi’s dad,
