"The resident advisor said this is the only dorm and know one else wants to change..." He said, putting away his phone. "Looks like we're stuck here, squirt." "Don't call me squirt!" I yelled. He rolled his eyes before plopping down on his bed. “Ok..I’ll call ya kid!” He laughed. "Oh, well...we'll have to get used to it. Since we're here, I'm Devon." He holds out his hand to shake mine. I didn't want to appeal as friends, so I didn't shake his hand. "Hm..." I grunt softly. "Look, I know we got on the wrong foot before but we have to get along somehow. Otherwise we'll be a pest to each other!" He said, still holding out his hand. "C'mon! Don't leave me hanging!" I sighed before shaking his hand, firmly. "Good girl..." He teased, ruffling my hair. "So, Lavender..." he said, savoring my name on his tongue like it was sweet. "where ya from?" "Here, North Carolina." I say as I sit on my bed, my legs crossed. "Nice. I'm from Florida. Did you join any clubs yet, Lavender from North Carolina?" I bite my lip. "The Art Club, the Writing Club, and the Piano Club." "Oh, cool. I'm in The Art Club and The Basketball Varsity Team." He smiled, putting his head in his palm. "You going to the club's welcome meeting?" "Um...I don't think so." I shake my head. I lied. I'm going but I'm going to be Destiny Devine! I'm going to be marvelous! I won't wear my glasses, I'll dye my hair blue, and I'll wear makeup for once! "Huh. Bummer...it's gonna be lit. My friends are gonna be there." He chuckled to himself. "But Christina...ew." "Who?" "Christina, the popular cheerleader who's good at everything. She's a real blondie who acts so proud all the time. She has fans and lackies everywhere. She even has love letters sent to her every Valentine's Day from numerous guys. She never sends any...except to me. She flirts, she hugs, she cuddles, she texts, she even stalks me! Christina's a real weirdo, I tell ya...sadly, I'm the only one who sees her true colors, really." He scratched the back of his neck. "Sounds like a real perfectionist. The cheerleader wanting the Basketball Star." I chuckle and roll my eyes. "Yeah, she is. I mean, she can have my flirtatious friend Ryan! Their perfect for each other." He chuckled. He checked his phone after getting up and saying "Time for class...see you there." He waved goodbye before walking out the door. I was going to follow him but...I should change clothes for a good impression. I got up and went to my closet. I pull out my bear hoodie crop top and brown skirt. To finish it off, I wear my bear beret and walk out the door to my first class. First Class Chapter 4: I step into the lecture hall, slowly. Devon sat in the back with a few group of boys. The girls sat in the front, gathered around and talking. In the far corner was a cute quiet guy with dark black hair. At a table next to the boy's was a girl with long brown hair. She wore a green sweater with long sleeves and black pants with boots. She had thin glasses and a computer in front of her; I think she was Gee-Gee from the group chat. Devon waved at me from his seat, ushering me over. "Guys, this is Lavender, my roommate." He said when I reached his seat. "This is Ryan." He wore a red shirt that said "I have the iq of an elephant" and jeans with blue and white Nike's. I could tell he didn't care about dressing well. "Hey!!! How'd you like to be ri-" That was Ryan of course who was cut off by Gee-Gee. "BRO STOP! STOP BEFORE YOU GET SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL TOO!" she narrowed her eyes, her voice sweet but firm. "Gee-Gee, your just jealous cause I won't rizz you up." "Ewwww!" she said. "Your just so cringe." "And your just so petty." He teased. "Anyway, this is DJ. He is always droppin' a new beat on MusicIfy or his MeTube Channel. You can ask him anything!" DJ glanced at me before tilting down his glasses. "Sup, shawty." He shook my hand before going back to his computer. "If you have time, drop by my dorm y'know." DJ wore glasses, a white t-shirt with a record on it, ripped jeans, white tennis shoes, and headphones. "This is Charles...he can be a jerk or a heartthrob sometimes but he's a nice guy. He's an actor." He wore sandals, a green t-shirt, and shorts. "Hey..." His voice was deep...deep like the last A on the piano. "Hi, everyone! Nice to meet you all!" I said kindly. Instantly, I felt a pair of eyes on me. I turned to see a blond girl(who I'm guessing is Christina) staring at me. "I see you get right to the point, huh?" she said as she got up from her chair. "What do you mean?" I ask. "You get straight to the boys and don't come see your fellow girls? How sad. Your a real flirt, huh?" "No, I just know Devon so he wanted me to meet his friends!" I smiled. I could tell she was mad by what she did next. She sauntered over to me, letting her body shift from left to right. Christina wore a thin strapless crop top that looked like thick tape, a white skirt that looked like paper, and boots that look like she'd be sweating. She also wore a huge amount of makeup which made her look like a clown. I couldn't tell if she was flirting with the guys or if her hip was broken so I said the meanest thing. ;-; "Here's some tips...get rid of the tape around your chest, that wet paper around your hips, and the clown makeup." I made a disgusted look. Everyone busted out laughing! It was so funny to them, that even the quiet guy in the corner cracked a smile. Gee-Gee cackled with Ryan as she said "She's right, though." "That ain't the worst of it, man." said DJ, his thick Louisiana accent echoing in the room. "Her shoes look like black rubber." Everyone laughed...well, except Christina. She was furious. She was so furious that if she was a cartoon, steam would be coming out of her ears and her face would be red. "Your just going to let them bully me, Devon?!" she cried crocodile tears as she pouted, latching onto his arm. "Kristy, I don't even know you. Your just a leech to me. You suck in my time, my energy, and my care." Devon said that loud enough for all of us to hear. "OOOOOOHHHH!" said DJ, laughing with Ryan. "Dang! He got you good!" said Charles. I admit, he did but I don't think I should have started this because Kristy made me guilty after this. She broke down in tears, other girls surrounded her, helping her up and helping her to her dorm. "YOU WILL ALL BE SORRY!!! ALL OF YOU!!!" Her makeup was mingling with her tears as she walked out with her lackies, looking like a hot mess. We all exchanged weird glances before laughing again. Instantly after Christiana walked out, Ms. Brown walked in the class. "ALRIGHT SETTLE DOWN CLASS! SIT IN YOUR SEATS!" She said, banging her hand on the desk. We all rushed to sit down, avoiding Ms. Brown's gaze. She scared me already! At least, I had fun for my last day...fun hurting someone's feelings. That stung me for the whole day. It couldn't get any worse!
