When the Fate Changes

Chapter 12

DYLAN

After a few minutes of waiting we heard some steps and noise not far from us. I get my flashlight and look to it.

"Is anyone there?" I shouted. 3 men go out from the woods with other team members.

"We were looking for you for many hours now" One of the member said. I saw him on the bus earlier but I don't know his name. Dr. Hillary wake Morgan and Ellie. They help us packed our things to go on the village.

"The fire you made really help us found you... I don't know you can think of a traditional way to send help" I think he is one of the villagers.

"It's Dr. Hillary who thought about that, sir" Ellie said and tapping her back.

We all walked on the forest together and finally we reach the village. The other team member said that we all have our own tents separated from the girls. I wave goodbye to Dr. Hillary as she go to the tent.

We can now sleep peacefully. I don't feel comfortable but I'm glad I'm still with Morgan. Almost all the team members are already sleeping in the big tent but I can't. I don't know why, I don't even think about Tammy but there is something that keeps disturbing my sleep.

The next morning, I don't even have a good sleep because of my insomnia. Many villagers are already awake. We need to line up before we got to take a bath. I saw Dr. Hillary with Ellie on the other bathroom. She looks like she's still sleeping. She was resting her head on Ellie's shoulder and only half of her eyes were open.

I secretly laugh while looking at her. Her weird and savage personality makes her unique from others.

"It's the first time I saw you smiling like that Dr. Rain" Morgan sarcastically said. I gave him a serious look and just stare at him.

"I'm kidding" he said and looked away. He was also savage and funny.

After taking a bath we all make our work by teams. Our team was the one who is giving clothes to the villagers. This event that their hospital had is really good and really helps people in need. I hope every hospital can think about this. I think this is the reason why their hospital is famous in the country and this job is really suitable for Dr. Hillary. Because she helped every people in need.

The program was finally done. Now, I can rest peacefully. We all went home and until now I still feel exhausted even I am already in Dr. Hillary's house.

"The next day after tomorrow, I'll come back to Mr. Froilan. I need to continue finding my body" I said and she nod while we're both sitting on the sofa.

"I'll come with you... I want to see my school again" she said.

"Do you want to study again? You're so desperate to see your school always"

"Of course... Not, I just missed my old days. You don't know that because you always think about the future" I looked at her; I don't know what she means about that "I'm just kidding, don't always take me seriously, okay?"

"Why are you kidding like that? I thought we're not close" I sarcastically said. She stands up and throw her pillow on me.

"I'm going to sleep" she walks away. Sometimes, she's just rude.

Like we always do, we don't go to work together. She was always the first when going to the hospital. When I went to the office I saw Nurse Ellie and Nurse Morgan massaging each other. Sometimes they’re so close and they look cute together.

"Good morning" I said, they didn't saw me because they’re too busy to each other. They greeted me back as I sited to Dr. Rain's table. Every time I sit here I always feel that I'm a different person. It's because of this different body.

"Nurse Ellie and Nurse Morgan, I will be absent again tomorrow so I will get your report for the next day" Dr. Hillary said.

"Where are you going?" Ellie said.

"It's a secret" she answered.

"You... You always have secrets on me, I thought we're friends. I feel upset"

"Can you stop pouting like that? You look so ugly" Morgan interrupted. Ellie suddenly punched his arm.

"I will be absent also for tomorrow" I said. I though it will be better if they know.

"Oh... Are you two going on a date?" Morgan laughingly said.

"What are you talking about? It's obvious that we have different appointment" Dr. Hillary answered.

"Fine, let's just eat. I feel hungry" Ellie said.

"Okay, let's eat but it's you're treat" Morgan said. We all laughed and Ellie was seriously looking so upset. She looked at Morgan disgustingly.

"No, I'm going to eat by myself" she walked out the door and Morgan follows her. We still keep on laughing at them. Our eyes suddenly met and we stop laughing.

"Why?" she asked.

"What?" I asked. It's awkwardly quiet inside the office. I heard her stomach growling and I unconsciously laugh so hard.

"Why didn't you follow them? You're also hungry" I keep on laughing. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I sit again. I suddenly hear my cell phone rings. It's a text from an unknown number.

I don't know the whole story but you need to listen to me. If you don't find Tammy and Brian before this month ends. You will not be able to know what happen to you that night. It really seems like you don't remember everything or you just really don't know. -Mandy

I don't know how she knew my number but I still can't trust her. She’s still suspicious for me. That night one of the men who kidn*pped us was calling someone and I feel like she was the one who is behind that. However, I can't find any reason on why she need to kidn*pped me also.

I also can't think of any reasons why Tammy or Brian will think of abducting us. They are only the person whom I trust so much. I don't want to believe Mandy; she was only making me think crazily.
