When the Fate Changes

Chapter 6

DYLAN

I still went home to Dr. Hillary's house. She cooked for dinner and I just watched her while sitting in the small dining table she has. I suddenly missed Tammy.

"Why you're looking at me like that, Mr. Dylan?" she asked.

"I just miss my girlfriend" she smirks.

"Why? Do you miss her cooking for you?"

"No, I miss her looking at me while I'm cooking. She just knows how to fry egg and hotdog" she laughed after I say that.

This is the first time I heard her laugh like that. After a minute, she finished cooking and we both eat.

"Dr. Hillary, can I ask where your parents are?"

"My mother is already dead and my father is working with my little brother far from here. I’m only visiting them once a month because of my tight schedule. But, I already save more money so I can get them and we can live here together in the near future." her eyes were shining as she talks about her parents.

"Your name is too long Dr. Hillary" I randomly said.

"So? My parents are the one who gave me that. I can't do anything about It." she sarcastically said. She really is having big walls to strangers like me.

"Are you really okay if I stay here for too long?"

"No, but I don't know if you'll be comfortable to live with Dr. Rain's parents" she said and I'm not really okay with that "If one day they call you, just immediately answer their call and follow everthing they will said, that's how Dr. Rain live"

I don't understand her by that but I think Dr. Rain sometimes can't express his feelings freely. Something was holding and controlling him.

After we eat, I decided to wash the dishes. This is the only way I can pay her.

"Tomorrow, I will go to the address you gave me so I think I can't go to work. I need to go back to my body as soon as possible." I asked her while weeping the table.

"I'll go with you, I just want to get some fresh air and I want to be absent in work again after how many months." she smiled and quickly went upstairs after weeping. I thought she's a workaholic person but I think she's also curious to know if I'll be able to find a way to find my body easily.

We both woke up early in the morning because the address is also too far from this city. And, I'm still in this body. I'm still hoping that I'll go back in my body after a few days.

She borrows the car of Ellie from her house that is only 15 minutes away from a cab. Dr. Hillary was the one who is driving the car while listening to pop and trendy songs. I'm actually seeing her whispering the lyrics and lip syncing it. I'm just secretly smiling when I looked at her. It's just satisfying to watch her like that. She really has different personality outside and inside the hospital.

After 1 hour and 45 minutes we are already in our destination. We first thought that it’s not the place we're looking for because this is only a factory house. Someone, go near us and asked.

"What is it that you want sir and ma'am?" an old man at his 40’s asks.

"We are looking for Mr. Froilan Vazco, Is he here?" Dr. Hill asked.

"He's not here today, he was out to deliver the honey in the city" it means we have not come here and wish we just waited for him in the city.

"Okay sir, thank you" we said and he goes back inside the factory again. We walked and look for a place to rest before we go back to city again. She looks so familiar with the place and was leading the way while we are walking.

We stop to a bench infront of a school. She was the one to buy food for us both because she think that I might lost and can't go back.

"That is where I study when I was in elementary and high school" she said.

"Then, do you live here?" I asked out of curiosity.

"No, I live on the other place not so far here. There is no school near our house that's why I need to ride a bike when I'm going to school" she said. I read the name of school, Danruis High School. It feels like I already heard this school before.

"I'm actually familiar with this place. There's not much people and buildings around. I feel like I really know this place." I said.

"Is this the place where you've been kidn*pped?" I look around and trying to remember and familiarize where the 5 men took me and Rain that night. This place is familiar but I know this is not where they leave us. I shake my head and sigh.

She touched my shoulder and smile trying to comfort me.

"It's okay, I know in the right time you can go back to where you belong and begin to live normal life again with your family and Tammy. Dr. Rain and Mr. Dylan" she removed her hand unconsciously and eats her food again while looking and smiling in the school.

She really looked cold hearted when she argues with someone and I see that when she defend me against my parents. She's fearless but she is also warm and soft inside if she feels pitiness on you. We just met for 3 days now but I feel like I already know so much about her.

Someone call on Dr. Hillary's phone and I see Nurse Ellie's name on the screen, she quickly answer it. I can't hear what on the other line was saying. Dr. Hillary suddenly looked at me in an intense face.

"Okay, we'll be going now. Wait for me tomorrow." she said and turned off the phone.

"Did something happen?" I asked and she nod.

"Nurse Ellie said your family... I mean Dr. Rain’s family was looking for him and they want to meet him in the weekend" she said.

"Then, what's wrong with that? I can act" I asked.

"Actually, you will be discussing Dr. Rain's arranged wedding. I forgot to inform that to you" That only means, Rain also has a girlfriend. I thought she and Rain will have a happy ending together by my help. But no, I am really not expecting that Dr. Hillary really struggle inside because I know he likes Rain.

Or my hunch that something going on between them is wrong. I am in a complicated situation again.
