When the Fate Changes

Special Chapter 3

ELLIE

I know something was happening again when Ms. Mandy calls me. We became friends after I helped her to get away from her fans long time ago. That's when we became close but she actually not calling me always though sometimes she's there to treat me to expensive restaurants.

"I need your help but please don't tell anyone about this even Dr. Hillary or Dr. Rain... I just need you to be friend with someone" she explained.

"Friend? I think that will be easy for me" I sarcastically said. But, I'm actually thinking why she doesn't want me to tell it to Hillary and Dr. Rain. It's not that I'm really not going to tell them even though we're close but the fact that Ms. Mandy has to mention their names interest me more.

"There's this one girl who named Tammy and I want you to become close with her and know what she's doing right now." she told me about some details like where she lives and the reason that why she want to know about her.

"Why you can't talk to her if you said she's your brother's girlfriend?" I asked.

"I'm going to explain everything to you but for now please keep it as secret." I just agree to help her and plan on how I'm going to be close with Tammy.

On the day when Dr. Hillary borrow my car again. I decided to go on the place Ms. Mandy mentioned about where Tammy stays after I go to work. I need to ride a train before I get to their house and it's actually too far.

Something's happening and the people gets crowded. I heard a men shouting. I tried to look on the faces of whom he fights and I saw a familiar face. It was the girl on the picture that Ms. Mandy send, it was Tammy. This is a great opportunity for us to become friends.

I walked towards them and suddenly the man push Tammy on the floor. No one was trying to help her because the man's too big and he kinda looks so dangerous. I stopped walking and run towards the guard and told him everything then I run again and helped Tammy to stand up.

"Sir, if you have something to complain about you can talk to her. Don't use your fist and don't try to hurt woman. You're so embarrassing" I said.

"What did you say?" he shouted at me and was ready to walk near me but I kicked his face before he hits me, he suddenly got to the floor. I'm actually not expecting to use my fighting skill with him.

He's trying to stand up again but that's when the police and guards came.

"Thank you" Tammy said.

"It's okay, I think you got hurt let me see your wounds. I'm actually a nurse so trust me... ma'am" I said pretending not to know her. She got her hands hurt so I put some band aids on her.

"What's your name nurse?" she asked. And, I know this is actually the start.

"I'm Nurse Ellie, call me Ellie... How about you? What's your name?"

"I'm Tammy" we both smile and I slowly release my hands to her "thank you for helping me, you're so brave"

"It's nothing, I always wanted to help people. But if you're really thankful you can treat me I'm actually really hungry today" we both laugh and she nods. We ride the train first and she treats me to a nice restaurant but not really so expensive.

I told her some of my stories. I became talkative towards her because I know that's some ways to gain her trust. She needs to believe that I trust her before she trust me. After a while she told me of some of her stories too.

"I'm actually leaving and I'll be going to Europe with my boyfriend. We're going to marry and start a family there" she said.

"Oh, really? Congratulations. I hope I can find someone that I can marry too in the near future. You know I'm always single." I said jokingly "But, when are you leaving?"

"After this month end so I only have two weeks I think"

"I hope I can see you again soon" I said and she smile.

"We can meet again you know, give me your number I'll call you" she actually looks so nice and I feel like nothing's wrong about her. She has innocent face and she smiles genuinely. I don't know if I can continue to be friends with her and just get the information I needed and leave her. But, Ms. Mandy trusts me for this so I need to do what I have to do.

I'm getting more interested about what's happening. After we eat, we say goodbye to each other and I go to my house quickly because I'm too far and feeling tired. While, I'm on the train, I call Ms. Mandy and report everything that Tammy said. She sounds so angry in the phone call that's why I got more curious.

I don't want to care about other's people lives but this got me into deep thinking. I don't know who's the real enemy to them that's why I want to dig more.
